|Mary Carbajal Sierra|
Mary Carbajal Sierra, age 76, of Odessa, passed from this life on Friday, November 1, 2019. She was born in Eagle Pass, TX on Sunday, December 27, 1942 to the late Alejandro and Guadalupe (Rodriguez) Carbajal. She married Edelmiro Sierra Jr. in Burley, Idaho on June 23, 1964 and they enjoyed over 50 years together before separated by his death December 22, 2014.
Mary was a woman of strength and dignity. She loved music and dancing and liked to travel. An awesome homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and caring for her grandbabies. She was an organized person who always wanted to be prepared for everything. She was ready to leave this world and be reunited with her family in heaven, departing with a smile on her face and peace in her heart.
Mary is survived by five sons: Richard Sierra and wife Stacey Watkins of Odessa, David Sierra and wife Lisa Burzota of Kermit, Abel Sierra and wife Crisella Cortez of Odessa, Fabian Sierra and wife Amanda North of Crane, and Adam Sierra and wife Stephanie Rodriguez of Odessa; and one daughter: Elayne Saldivar and husband Ramon of Odessa; brothers: Robert Carbajal and wife Sylvia of Payette, ID, Rodolfo Carbajal and wife Bertha of San Antonio, Manuel Carbajal of San Antonio, Larry Carbajal of San Antonio, and Fred Carbajal of Payette, ID; sisters: Dorothy Carbajal of Washington, Rosa Castellon and Sandra Oyervides and husband Joe, all of Weiser, ID, and Judy Carbajal of Washington; 25 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins as well as a great many friends.
She was welcomed to her heavenly home by her husband: Edelmiro Sierra, Jr.; parents: Alejandro and Guadalupe Carbajal; brothers: Sammy Carbajal, Alex Carbajal and Raul Carbajal; her sister: Linda Salazar; and an infant brother: Ramundo Cerda.
Visitation will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from noon to 2:00 pm.

Nicolasa Martinez Salazar, age 79, of Odessa, passed away at Sienna Nursing Home in Odessa on Friday, November 1, 2019. She was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Isabel Martinez and Josefa Minjarez Martinez. She was a homemaker and an awesome cook. She was a wonderful wife, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed.
Nicolasa loved music. She was a happy person who never complained and was slow to get angry. She never wanted to cause any trouble to anyone.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband: Gustavo Montoya Salazar; sisters: Francisca, Margarita, Amalia, Florencia, and Maria; brothers: Jesus, Gregorio, and Jose; and numerous special nieces and nephews that she thought of as her own children.
Visitation in Odessa will begin at 10:00 am on Sunday, November 3, 2019 with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at a later date at El Ultimo Refugio in Ojinaga, Mexico.

Luis Fino Nabarrette III, age 38, of Odessa, passed away in Odessa on November 1, 2019. He was born in Odessa on July 23, 1981 to Virginia (Fino) and Luis Nabarrette, Jr.
Luis played baseball when he was young. He was a blacklighter, and he owned and operated "Big Boy's Inspection Company" in Odessa. He loved his children and loved to play around and be silly and goofy with them. He was a youth pastor at Manna for Life Ministries and had moved to service as a bishop.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Angelica Nabarrette; parents: Luis and Virginia Nabarrette; maternal grandfather: Al Fino; two sons: Luis Diego Nabarrette and Luis Fidencio Nabarrette V; six daughters: Nicole Nabarrette, Alexis Nabarrette, Daniella Urquidi, Jaquelin Urquidi, Jasmine Urquidi, and Priscilla Urquidi; brothers: Michael Nabarrette, Samuel Nabarrette and Brian Alford; sister: Johnnie Jo Barriga and husband Eric; and his nieces and nephews: Juanita Ervine, Rena Nabarrette, Emma Barriga, Mikey Nabarrette, Esias Barriga, and Joe Ervine.
Luis is preceded in death by his sister: Melissa Nabarrette Ervine, his paternal grandparents: Luis Nabarrette Sr. and Amelia Nabarrette, and his maternal grandmother: Felisa R. Fino.
Prayers services will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will also be at Acres West at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 7, 2019, followed by interment at Odessa II Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery. Pastor Donnie Rollie will officiate.

|Jose Ramon "Monchis" Caballero Ponce|
Jose Ramon "Monchis" Caballero Ponce, age 63, of Odessa, passed from this life on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Saturday, June 2, 1956 in Santa Elena, Mexico to the late Juan Bautista and Amparo (Caballero) Ponce. Jose was a jack of all trades and was skilled with his hands, working in carpentry, fencing and construction.
A music lover, he played flute and harmonica, and enjoyed dancing. He really liked his birds. He lived life to the fullest and loved to get out and visit with people, sharing exciting stories. Monchis had a huge heart and was always helping others. He would give the shirt off of his back. Family meant everything to him and he always wanted to be around his precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his beloved wife: Maria Ponce; daughters: Yuridia "Judy" Ponce and husband Juan Nanez, Cristal Ponce and husband Sergio Sanchez, and Abigail Ponce; son: Noe Oscar Ponce and wife Diana; brothers: Javier Ponce and wife Graciela, Juan Ponce and wife Sylvia, and Jose Ponce and wife Patricia; all of Odessa; sisters: Marisa Sanchez and husband Samuel of Midland, Armida Aranda and husband Sergio of Ojinaga, Lucy Stevens and husband Terry of Big Lake, Hilda Nieto and husband Jimmy of Odessa, and Ymelda Ponce of Big Lake; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large number of friends.
Funeral services will be at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Odessa II Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery. Pastor Mario Martinez will officiate.

Cecil Wayne Kendall, age 74, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Monday, June 18, 1945 in Tutwiler, MI to the late Joel D. and Cora Irene Kendall.
Cecil met the love of his life Audrey Kellie Smith and they married over 47 years ago. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He loved his dog Iowa who was very spoiled and was always traveling with him. He had a love for McDonald’s coffee and collecting mechanical junk, like tractors and lawn mowers. Cecil served in the United States Army for two years.

Eddie Lopez Sanchez, 57, of Odessa, passed from this life Monday, November 4, 2019 in Lubbock, TX. He was born July 12, 1962 in Orange County, TX to Erlinda Lilly Alvarado.
Eddie was always so full of love. He was a fighter and he never gave up. He always kept up with everyone and enjoyed making memories. Eddie was very creative in things and loved fixing up houses. His children were the apple of his eye and his love for his grandchildren was unconditional. Eddie was a hard worker who loved God and his family deeply. His sister was his partner in everything. Their love is inseparable, even in death. May they both rest in peace together.

Elias Ramirez Carrera, 21, of Odessa, passed from this life Monday, November 4, 2019 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Friday, October 2, 1998 in Pecos, TX to Salvador Carrera and Mirta Irene Ramirez.
“Of all the gifts God has blessed me with… to have you as my son was the greatest gifts of them all. 21 years were long yet so short at the same time, and you truly fought every day until your last breath. |Timmie Dewayne Norton|
Timmie Dewayne Norton, age 51, passed away at his father's home in Quitique, TX on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. He was born in Memphis, TX on August 21, 1968 to Larry Dewayne and Ruby Darlene (Cagle) Norton.
Timmie proudly served our country in the Army National Guard. He ran heavy equipment and was a mechanic for many years and owned and operated Norton’s Automotive and Transmissions in Childress, TX. Timmie was a business man who was a valued member of the Plainview, TX community and a deacon of the Bible Baptist Church in Childress, TX.
Timmie had a contagious smile, was full of life and loved unconditionally. He was a son, a brother and twin to Tammie (Norton) Boen, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a dad, a granddad, an uncle (not only to his nieces and nephews but to many more other children that needed someone), a great-uncle, and an amazing best friend to all of his many friends who were dear to his heart, he was our ROCK, our calm in the eye of the storm, our DAD, and most of all he was our best friend. He would give anyone the shirt off of his back if they needed it more than he did. He was a jokester and was known for his pranks. He loved going hunting, fishing, and camping with his girls and grandkids.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his parents: Larry and Darlene Norton of Quitaque, TX; his twin sister: Tammie Norton of Wichita, Kansas; daughter and son-in-law: Natasha and Randy Adams of Midland, TX; daughter and son-in-law: Lasasha and Dustin Reynolds of Midland, TX; daughter: Brianna Norton of Childress, TX; five grandchildren: Kobe Reynolds, Kylie Schottleutner, Kenley Reynolds, Lagen Criswell, and Keagan Bradley; five nieces; one nephew; four great nephews and two great nieces; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his older brother, Anthony (Tony) Wayne Norton, and two infant nephews: Brian Alexander Norton and Hadley Joe Norton.
A viewing will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa, TX from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A memorial service to celebrate Timmie’s life will be held on November 23, 2019 in Quitaque, TX, at a time and place to be announced.

Austin Edward Roberts IV, 46, of Odessa, Texas passed away on
Tuesday, November 5th in Odessa.
Austin was born in Lakewood, NJ on February 27th, 1973 to the late Gerald Sr. and Joan Roberts. Austin grew up in Olive Hill, TN. He was employed as a mechanic and took great pride in his work.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Roberts.
Austin enjoyed making his beef jerky and spent many hours talking to his customers/friends about everything. He never met a stranger and had love and kindness in his heart for all of mankind as well as animals. Austin always tried to make everyone laugh and wanted to make sure others never went without. Austin would often remind others not to forget to help the less fortunate.
Survivors are his siblings, Gerald Roberts, Jr., Suzanne Roberts Crum (Tommy), and Jenny Roberts Chapman (Jason); nephews, David Crum and Barrett Chapman. While in Odessa, he was fortunate to have the friendship and kindness of Kenny Sr. and Deb Mayes. He also leaves behind his beloved Bossy Cat.
Austin will be greatly missed by everyone his heart touched.
In honor of Austin, if you see someone less fortunate and you find it in your heart, please give them a meal.

Carrie Sanchez Knight, age 59, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Odessa Regional Medical Center. She began her earthly journey in Kenedy, TX on Thursday, December 31, 1959, born to and Lily (Sanchez) Alvarado.
Carrie had a deep love for her family, especially her brother Eddie. She put her family above all else. Her legacy of love is passed down through her children and her beloved grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. A fighter, Carrie was always a happy person, even during her illness. She was strong and independent and had an infectious and beautiful laugh. She enjoyed taking pictures, cleaning, and watching crime shows. Carrie made the best pancakes!
Those left to cherish her love and memory three sons: Eleacer, Alfred and Frankie; three daughters: Michelle, Maricela and Monique; brothers: Larry, Joe, and Orlando; sisters: Olivia and Ofelia; eighteen grandchildren: Audrey, Xavier, Geraldo, Jeremy, Ava, Aaron, Zaylee, Aiden, Yurika, Alaizha, Elias, Brian, Makatlyn, Mylah, Noah, Jonique, Jacqlyn and JJ; four great-grandchildren: Rosalie, Sophie, Jaylen and Nayeni; two dogs that were precious to her; a very special friend: Johnny MacFedreis; and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Regino and Lily Alvarado; her daughter: Linda Marie Huerta; and two brothers: Eddie and Jerry Sanchez. She missed her mother dearly.
Joint funeral services with her brother, Eddie, are scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 10:00 am with the Rosary to be recited Monday evening at 7:00 pm. Carrie will be interred following the funeral services at Odessa II Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery. Kevin Fox will officiate.

Christopher Wesley "Kracker" Kirby, age 32, passed from this life Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Wednesday, September 30, 1987 in Odessa to Donald Kirby Sr. and Cynthia (Kobernick) Atkins. He worked at Danny's Body Shop doing paint and body work.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are mom: Cindy Atkins and husband Mike; dad: Donald Kirby; his precious daughter: Lexa Kirby and her mother, Nikki Wade; and two sisters: Stormy Rae Landa and husband Billy and Niki Jo Kirby and her fiancé Damian Spiehler, all of Odessa; brother: Donald Wayne "Bubba" Kirby Jr. of Austin; five nephews: Rylee Landa, Chase Rickerson, Damian Spiehler Jr., Wyatt Spiehler, and Rex Wayne Taylor; and three nieces: Savanah Mae Kirby, Aubree Raeann Spiehler, and Kristen Landa; and numerous friends.
