|Amelia Meras Valerio|
Amelia Meras Valerio, age 62, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Friday, August 16, 2019. She began her earthly journey in Ft. Stockton, TX on September 3, 1956, born to the late Pedro Porras Meras and Eva (Fuentes) Meras. She was a homemaker and also worked as a housekeeper for many years.
Amelia was a great mother, "Mama," sister, and aunt who loved purple. She enjoyed shopping, watching game shows and late night movies, and was a fan of Hallmark and Lifetime movies in particular. Quiet and soft spoken, she was a perfectionist in every way. She could be shy, but loved her family fiercely, especially her grandkids. She loved going to Gordo's football and basketball games.
Amelia is survived by her daughter: Vera Valerio of Odessa; her siblings: Ramon Meras and wife Carmen of Odessa, Elda Montes of Midland, and Abel Meras and wife Maria of Odessa; her beloved grandchildren: Kyana and Kwame McCoy; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Pedro and Eva Meras and two brothers: Pedro and Jose Meras.
Visitation will begin Sunday at 3:00 pm at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be recited at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 7:00 pm on Monday, August 19, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment follows at Saragosa Cemetery in Saragosa, TX.

Morris Glenn Pearcy, age 91, of
Midland, passed from this life Sunday, August 18, 2019. He was born
Saturday, April 7, 1928 in Carbon, TX to the late Gifford Wesley and
Ollie Belle Pearcy.
Glenn Pearcy was an example of hard work, commitment, and devotion. He worked his way up from a roughneck in the oilfields to be a petroleum engineer in the boardrooms of Chevron. Glenn was an example of commitment in 70 years of marriage to his wife, Carrie. Devoted to his kids and grandkids, he spent his days off from work enjoying countless camping trips and hours on the lake, fishing and water skiing as the designated driver of the boat. After several years of touring with the RV club, Glenn spent his retirement meeting friends at the coffee shop or enjoying time on the farm in Ft. Stockton. His example, love, and memories will live on in our hearts for generations to come.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his sons: Dan and James Pearcy of Midland; daughter: Glenda Hart of Lubbock; grandchildren: Shawn Pearcy, Krista Pearcy, Toby Hart and Nikki Kincaid; and great-grandchildren: Chelsey Kincaid, Alexis Kincaid, Cora Belle Kincaid, Delton Paredes, Haylee Paredes, Emma Pearcy and Katelyn Hart.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife: Carrie Louisa Pearcy.
Graveside Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Sundown Cemetery in Sundown, TX.

Tabatha Jo Nielson, age 39, passed unexpectedly from this life on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at her residence in Odessa.
Tabatha was a very loving, kind woman who loved helping the less fortunate. Those that knew and loved her will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Tabatha’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Parker Heights Christian Church in Odessa.

Antonio Macedo Mendoza, age 62, passed from this life on Friday, August 23, 2019 at his residence in Odessa. He was born on May 24, 1957 to Celedonio Pineda Mendoza and Manuela (Macedo) Mendoza.
Antonio loved to eat, watch court shows and would have to have his air conditioning on at all times. When purchasing things, he would do them in 2’s because he said “everything needs a partner”. Antonio was not a fan of women having their hair in a bun. He enjoyed doing yard work and was very meticulous.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Raquel Rios and Sulema Arredondo (Edward), all of Odessa; three brothers: Frankie Mendoza, Celedonio “JR” Mendoza. and Juan De Dios “Johnny” Mendoza, all of Odessa; four sisters: Josie Lopez, Mary Wadley, Gloria Rodriguez, all of Odessa and Betty Mendoza of Dallas; five grandchildren: Mikey, Emma, Emery, Nate and Matthew; 3 great-grandchildren: Xavier Rios, Mikey Rios, Jr. and Avery Rios, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Jared Kelvin Bailey
Jared Kelvin Bailey, age 52, of Odessa, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 24, 2019. He was born Friday, October 28, 1966 in Odessa, TX to Ernest Bailey and Patsy (Davis) Widas.
Jared loved traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He was an electrical technician who enjoyed electronics, listening to CB radios and police scanners. He was also an avid storm watcher, and took great pride and care of his car. He cherished his family and his beloved cat, “Jewel”. Jared touched many lives and will be missed dearly.
Jared is survived by his ex-wife: Deborah Bailey of Odessa; daughter: Nicole Roy and John of Galesburg, IL; three brothers: John Bailey, Kenneth Bailey and Robert Widas, all of Odessa; two sisters: Tammy Hopkins and Marcia Bailey, both of Odessa; special nephews: Rodney and Steven Miller; special niece: Sydney Hopkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Public viewing will begin Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm with the family receiving guests from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Graveside Services will be held at Serenity Memorial Park in Midland at 10:00 am Saturday, August 31, 2019.

Leo Bennett Garnand, age 57, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his home. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK on December 16, 1961. He was a US Army Veteran and retired contractor who helped to train Iraqi and Afghanistan Police forces.
Leo is survived by his brothers: Jim Garnand of Odessa and Timothy and Gregory Garnand, both of Oklahoma City; sisters: Saundra Colbourne of England and Sharmin Cravens of Oklahoma City; his good friends: Sharon Kirkham and Danielle Burritt; and his mentor, retired Navy Doctor: David Hooten.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his son.

Alberta Louise Sherrick, age 77, of Odessa, passed from this life to her eternal reward on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. Alberta was born in Scammon, KS on June 18, 1942 to the late Charles J. and Twila (Chevalier) Scott. She had done work for the census in the past and was a landlady of several rental properties.
Alberta was fascinated by genealogy and did lots of genealogy work for her church. She cared very much for her family. Always willing to help others, she had served as a foster parent and loved children. She nurtured their talents and embraced the qualities that make each child different. Alberta was soft and gentle, but knew how to be firm when she needed to be. She never let anyone take advantage of her kindness. She loved big dogs (especially Rottweilers) and cats.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her children: CJ Sherrick, Larry Sherrick, and Crystal L. Ash.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son: Scott Tate; and her siblings: JoAnn Lee Slaugh, Charlene Crain, Wiletta McGowan and Charles Scott.

Thomas Loyd “Buddy” Lunceford, Jr., age 72 of Odessa, passed from this life Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his residence. He was born Saturday, November 2, 1946 in Wills Point, TX to Lois and Thomas Loyd Lunceford, Sr.
Buddy married Beverly Diane (Pinard) Lunceford on April 22, 1966 in Odessa, TX and together they had two daughters, Leilani and Tina. Buddy was very good with his hands. He worked as a mechanic for many years and loved to tinker. He could build just about anything and was also a “collector”. Buddy was a little on the ornery side and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed dearly, but we are rejoicing over his reunion in Heaven with his beloved bride Beverly.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his daughters: Leilani Hankins and husband Charlie of Andrews, TX and Tina Arnold of Andrews, TX; sister: Glennette Lewis of Decatur, TX; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Beverly Diane Lunceford; brother: David Lunceford; and great-grandson.

Robby “Slim” Bradshaw, III, age 45, of Amarillo, TX, passed from this life Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Sunday, January 20, 1974 in Spearman, TX to Vickie Sue (Garner) Bradshaw.
Slim was honored to be an Organ donor. He believed if one life could be saved, it was worth it. His mother says he loved motorcycles and he belonged to the Serenity Riders MC - Lubbock. He looked forward to his life with his fiancée Katie. Slim loved his mom and was a “toot”. He loved his kids more than anything and he was very family oriented. He was always so full of laughter and was always trying to help people. He never forgot his roots. He had two pet rats, Luna and Spaz, who he treated like his children. Slim loved fish and aquariums and was very educated in aquatic life. He enjoyed working and took pride in his job.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his son: Sterling Land; daughter: Mackey Bradshaw; fiancé: Katie Belew; mom: Vickie Bradshaw; sister: Michelle Karmy and husband Bryan; brothers; Heath Roth, Sid Verett, and Brian Box; God-daughter: Faith Williams; niece: Callie Karmy; nephew: Zachary Karmy; and numerous special friends that he cherishes and were considered brothers and sisters.
A celebration of "Slim's" life will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Andy G. Vaughn Masonic Lodge # 1421, located at 3017 Mercedes Ave in Odessa, TX. His "Last Ride" will be at 1604 N. University in Lubbock on September 28, 2019, at 2:00 pm. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Saundra "Sue" King North, entered the gates of Heaven to join her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Sue was born in Ft. Stockton, TX on April 28, 1944 to the late Grover and Nora (Nixon) King. She was a hairdresser and a CNA.
Sue is survived by the love of her life: Robert North; son: James North; daughter: Connie Renfro and husband Danny; sister: Ann Johnson, all of Odessa. She is also survived by the absolute lights of her life, her grandchildren: Danny Renfro Jr. and wife Katy of Denver, CO, and Cassie Sue Renfro and Kimberly Diane Johnson, both of Odessa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lena Renfro was also a special person in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and eight sisters.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Braswell.

Jorge Rosalio Muñoz, age 66, of Odessa, passed from this life Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Saturday, February 28, 1953 in Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Jose Socorro and Ofelia (Irigoyen) Muñoz. He married Josefa Mendoza in Chihuahua, Mexico on December 30, 1976. He was a hard worker and had retired from working for Rama Fabrications as a pipefitter.
"Let me tell you one thing" - Jorge was a great husband and father who would always slip his grandkids a little cash on his way out the door. He was very supportive and was their #1 fan at his kids and grandkids sporting events. He loved barbequing and hanging out with his family. He was very competitive and he was always one upping his son. He enjoyed Dairy Queen tacos, his beer, his NFL pick ems, and reading the paper. Jorge was cool and calm, but had his jokester side as well. His smile will be sorely missed.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife of 45 years: Josie Muñoz of Odessa; son: Lynn Muñoz and wife Yvette of Odessa; daughter: Georgina Lujan and husband Adrian of Odessa; brothers: Javier Muñoz of Chihuahua, MX and Jose Socorro Muñoz of El Paso; sisters: Maria Maldonado of Odessa and Rosaemma Vasquez of Chihuahua, MX; and five grandchildren: Chasity Lujan, Mariah Lujan, Adrian Isaiah Lujan, Brianna Muñoz, and Gabriel Muñoz.
Public visitation will be Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm with Rosary to be recited at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 7:00 pm on Monday, September 2, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday. September 3, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
