Travis Thompson 2019
Travis William Bryant Thompson
4/17/1895 - 7/28/2019

Travis William Bryant Thompson was born on April 17, 1985 in Snyder, Texas to the late William Bryant and Paula (Vancleave) Thompson.  He graduated from Snyder High School. Travis worked for Capitan Wireline and loved his job as a lead operator.

He took pride in his life, and what he accomplished and overcame. Travis was a very hard worker in the oilfield, and had so much knowledge, abilities, and skill. There was nothing he couldn’t drive, operate, or fix. He liked to show his stepchildren things he knew how to do, and he raised and loved them like his own. Most people wouldn't recognize him without an Under Armour hat and his Oakleys on. He loved to collect knives and guns. His favorite hobbies were riding four wheelers, hunting, and riding out in the country listening to music and having meaningful conversations from the heart. His dream cars were the 1969 Chevelle and the ZR1 Corvette, and he always had to pull over to check them out when he saw one. He loved his cold beer, music, his Ford trucks, and his family.

Travis had the most beautiful blue eyes in the world, a gorgeous smile, an infectious laugh, and gave the best hugs. He believed that a man’s handshake said a lot about a man, and he gave the most firm handshake in Texas and looked you in your eyes when speaking to you. He loved to tell stories about his life and reminisce about his good memories and good times. He would help anyone in need and give his shirt off his back if they needed it. He truly had the most amazing, caring, and gentle soul and was a supportive friend to those he cared about. Travis was one who loved hard and gave it everything he had. He will be missed so very much, and our lives will never be the same without him.

He is survived by his wife Samantha Everett and stepchildren:  Brookelynn Pruitt, Jadyn Pruitt, Braelyn Pruitt, all of Odessa.  He is also survived by his sister: Shaunna Thompson Stites: two nephews: Joshua and Caleb Stites;  Aunt Norma Jean Franks,Uncle Ray, and Aunt Cathy Thompson, all of Snyder. He has multiple cousins, and also had a special connection with Jake Thompson.  He is also survived by father-in-law Lane Everett and brothers-in-law Cullen and Tyler Everett. He also had several special nieces and nephews who called him Uncle Travis. His most special friends were Raleigh and Terry Morton, Jim Bob Thomas, Jared Boyd, Brad Hinton, and Michael Thamez.

Travis is preceded in death by his grandmother: Elsie Thompson, who raised him to be the man he was; his father: William Bryant Thompson; his mother: Paula Vancleave Thompson; Uncle Bobby Franks (all of Snyder); and a special friend Heath Morton from Wink. He had his loyal companion, his dog Moo, who he loved wholeheartedly and went with him everywhere he went.
