Robert Edwin "Bob" Frailey

Relief showed up at 6:00 AM May 23, 2019. Robert Edwin Frailey went off tower to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep in the comfort of his home. He was with his wife: Beth of over 37 years when he passed.

 Bob grew up in Chicago, IL. He gave his life to the Lord at the age of 9. The son of a barber, Bob had many jobs over the years. He shined shoes in his father’s shop, owned a paper route, and did many more as a young man. He began working as a roughneck and found his passion that he would chase across 30 states and several countries over 50 years as a career.

He settled in Odessa, TX in the 1980’s and forged many friendships at several of the local coffee shops. You could find him at Pojo’s every afternoon enjoying a cup of coffee and telling stories to a captivated audience.

Rest Easy Hand! You are loved and will be missed by so many.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife:  Beth Frailey of Odessa; sons:  Robert Frailey, Joe Frailey and Jason Anderson; daughters: Brenda Lamb, Shellie Anderson and Shonda Corosson; 27 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter: Linda Stamper.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Bartlett. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Hilario Loya Medina

Hilario Loya Medina, age 62, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019. He was born in Cienega de Loya, Mexico on Thursday, March 7, 1957 to Albino Loya and Guadalupe Medina. He had worked in the oilfield.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Guadalupe Loya; sons: Rubysel Morales Loya and Hilario Morales Loya Jr.; daughter: Yadira Loya; brothers: Adrian Loya, Albino Loya, Ivan Loya, and Victor Loya, all of Odessa; sisters: Arcelia Caballero of Odessa and Flora Ruiz of Dallas; four grandchildren: Anngiee Mendoza, Aliyah Mendoza, Natalia Villalobos and Santiago Loya

Funeral services will be at a later date in Mexico with burial at the family ranch, Cementerio de Cienega de Loya in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Rex Lee Faulkner, age 61 passed from this life on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his residence. He was born Saturday, September 14, 1957 in Seminole, TX to the late Rex V. Faulkner, Jr and Edwyna Bell.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife, Leita of the home, one daughter: Christen Oglesby and husband Shaun of Odessa. His mother Edwyna Faulkner of San Antonio, three brothers John Mize and Troy Faulkner both of Denver, Co and William Faulkner of San Antonio; and one sister Sarah Winchester of Lexington, KY. He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Rae, Eliza, Gillian and Chantry all of Odessa.

Rex Lee loved the outdoors. ALL of it! Hunting, fishing, gardening and riding his lawn tractor. He had a donkey that the grandkids named Michael Shaun and that was ok with him, since in his eyes, his grandkids hung the moon. He was known by most as “Pappy” and loved with a passion. If he loved you, he loved you forever! He would defend you to the very end!

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 29th at 2:00 PM at Westover Baptist Church with Brother Terry Wright officiating.

Londyn Dior Easterwood

Londyn Dior Easterwood, 4 months, left this life Saturday, May 25, 2019 in Lubbock, TX. She was born Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Odessa, TX to Shaquella Winn and Deangelo Easterwood.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her mommy and daddy; brothers: Quaydehn Isaac, Jevon Bell III, Jemari Easterwood, and Deangelo Deshawn Easterwood, Jr.; sisters: Paris Johnson; Za’kia Easterwood and Za’Donna Thompson; paternal grandparents: Reginald Connors and Kimberly Easterwood; maternal grandparents: Dianne Winn; maternal great-grandparents: Lula Johnson and Marcus Jackson; maternal great-great grandmother: Audrie Carter; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents; and cousins: Millard Turner and Adam Marshall.

A Wake will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be Friday, June 7, 2019 at 9:00 am at the Los Angeles Gardens section of the Ector County Cemetery. Officiated by Rev. E.J. Miller. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

John Robert Doyen
John Robert Doyen, 67, a lifetime Texas resident, passed from this life and into the everlasting loving arms of his Lord and Savior on May 28, 2019.

At the decision of his family, no services were held.

John blessed the world with his presence July 3, 1951 to John R. and Julia Huff Doyen in Old Salem, Texas.
Loved by many, John will be remembered for his quick-wit, passion for life, and sense of adventure. He exceled in music (vocally and instrumentally). John served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam era.
Always driven and hard-working, John worked as an over-the-road truck driver and later owned his own trucking business.
Those left to remember him fondly and cherish his memory is: long-time girlfriend, Betty Massey of Odessa; sons: Travis Doyen of Lamesa; Joseph Eller of North Carolina; Tyler Doyen of Tokyo; Theodore Doyen of Naples, Italy and Lawrence Doyen of Abilene; daughter: Debbie Roppolo of San Marcos; brother: Fred Doyen; sisters: Chelah Cobb; Arlene Smith; and numerous grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by his parents; son: Christopher Mansour; sisters: Annette and Darlene.
Donnie Dean Harvel Sr
Donnie Dean Harvel, Sr.
Donnie Dean Harvel, Sr. age 70, formerly of Odessa, passed away in Clarksville, TN on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. 
Donnie was born in Hope, AR on December 30, 1948 to the late Phil and Nora (Henderson) Harvel.  He was the youngest of nine children along with his twin sister, Donna Jean.  Donnie met Sandra at Springhill High School where they fell in love and were married on July 12, 1968. Donnie was a welder, which finally brought them to make their home in Odessa in 1970.  He was a hard worker and a loyal employee. He worked for Sivalls Inc. for 19 years and McKay Equipment for 21 years. His favorite things were NASCAR, drag racing, the Dallas Cowboys and fishing.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife of 51 years:  Sandra (Swindle) Harvel of Bumpus Mills, TN; son:  Donnie Harvel, Jr. and his wife Kori of Midland; daughters:  Jennifer Anderson and her husband Earl of Odessa and Deborah Smithee and her husband Shane of Big Rock, TN; sister: Sue Webb and her husband Larry of San Marcos, TX; seven grandchildren:  Christopher, Myranda, Breeann, Karlie, Mykayla, Karter and Logan; and one great-grandchild:  Naomi.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers:  PJ Harvel, Doyle Harvel and Esthel Harvel; and sisters:  Donna Jean Smith (his twin), Betty Benge, Essie McBay and Bonnie Ward.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Ronnie Kidd.

Dorothy Dellinger

Dorothy Dellinger, age 85, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, May 30, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Thursday, February 15, 1934 in Ardmore, OK to Soleta Didamey Hill and Otis Barton.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her son: Robert Dellinger of Odessa; daughter: Debra Norton of Mesquite; brother: Leon Barton of Crane; sisters: Sheila Neal of Odessa and Tillie Pilley of Marble Falls; grandchildren: Glen, Billy Jack, Ricky, Amanda, Skylar, Abigail and Bobbie Marie; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Murray Joe Dellinger; sons: Glen Campbell and Bobby Joe Dellinger; brother: Doyle Barton; and sister: Freida Criswell.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Faith Church of the Nazarene located at 3501 N. Golder in Odessa, TX. Pastor Deborah Puckett will be officiating.

Hondo Lane 2019
Harold Duane "Hondo" Lane

Harold Duane "Hondo" Lane, age 84, of Odessa passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Thursday, May 30, 2019.  He was born in Anadarko, OK on November 17, 1934 to the late Charlie Birdsong Lane and Mary June (Hall) Lane.  Harold was a US Army Veteran and had been stationed in Germany, drove for the company commander, and was a member of the Army basketball team.  He went to work for Texas Electric (now Oncor) as a lineman's helper and retired after 32 years as District Meter Superintendent.  Harold  was a Webelos leader for Cub Scout Troop #254 at John Ireland and President of the Permian Choir Parents' Association.  He was an usher and active member of Asbury United Methodist Church as well as being very involved in their program, Christmas in April.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife of almost 58 years: Freida (Harrington) Lane of Odessa; sons: Dr. Charles "Chuck" Lane of Arlington and Kent D. Lane of Austin; daughter-in-law:  LuAnn Lane of Midland; nephew:  Marc Thompson of Topeka, KS; six grandchildren:  Ryan, Morgan, Averie and Caden Lane, and Allison and Caitlin Meisenheimer; and a host of cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sons:  Kevin H. Lane and Robert Timothy Lane; and his sister:  Norma Sue Thompson.

A Celebration of Harold's Life will be held on July 13, 2019 at Asbury United Methodist Church at 10:30 am.  A reception will follow the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Harold's memory to Asbury United Methodist Church designated to the Sacramento Camp or the Meditation Garden. 

Glenda Yates
Glenda May Yates

Glenda May Yates, age 58, of Odessa, passed from this life on Thursday, May 30, 2019. She began her earthly journey in Van Buren, Arkansas on Sunday, September 25, 1960, born to the late Roger and Shirley (Price) Peevy.  Glenda married Joe Yates in Lovington, NM on August 25, 1980 and they enjoyed over 38 years of marriage.  Her husband, children and grandchildren were precious to her. She owned her own business cleaning offices.

Funny, energetic, and sometimes goofy, Glenda loved to be the center of attention.  She was a good Christian woman who was very generous and loved her church.  She was very competitive and could not stand losing.  Honest and direct, she never sugar coated the truth, but was also very kind and loving - definitely a Momma Bear!

Those left to mourn her passing and cherish her memory include her husband:  Joe Yates of Odessa; sons:  Rocky Simoneau and Trace Yates of Odessa; daughter:  Kelsi Vasek and husband Cody of Odessa; brother:  Roger Peevy of Alma, AR; sisters:  Brenda Limbocker of Alma, AR and Linda Peevy of Rudy, AR; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services in celebration of her life will be at 10:00 am on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Brother Jimmy Skiles.

Zayden Wilkerson 2019
Zayden Ray Wilkerson

On January 15, 2019, Zayden Ray Wilkerson, made an early appearance into this world in Odessa, TX, born with full triploidy (a fatal chromosome disorder).  He was small, but big on attitude.  Zayden stayed with us fighting his condition for over four months before returning to Jesus' arms on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX.  This tough little guy brightened our lives.

Zayden left tiny fingerprints on the hearts of his mommy:  Alisa Shae Higginbotham and daddy:  Domonique Ray "Dino" Wilkerson; maternal grandparents:  Dixie and Cody Higginbotham; paternal grandparents:  Tina Maldonado and Ray Wilkerson; maternal great-grandparents:  Michael and Alisa Morris; all of Odessa; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Already there in heaven to rock him and love him are his paternal great-grandparents:  Carmen Munoz and Crispin Munoz.

Public visitation will be at Acres West Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 8:30 am on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 1st United Pentecostal Church, officiated by Pastor Terry Pugh.  Graveside services will follow at 10:00 am at Los Angeles Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery.

Edna Lorene Rhynes, age 92, passed from this life Friday, May 31, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Tuesday, July 13, 1926 in Jacksonville, TX to the late Henry Cooper and Bodie Ewing.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her daughter: Lora Bivin and husband Robert; grandchildren: Scott and his wife Kim Bivin and Jack Willoughby and wife Stacy; great-grandchildren: Timothy, Matthew, Ryan and Ethan Willoughby, Austin Bivin, Ashley Bivin Gilbreath and Corky Gilbreath; great-great grandson: Skyler Gilbreath; and nieces: Frances Carter, Kathy Sandell and Brenda Ingram.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jimmy Gerald Rhynes; daughter: Edna Willoughby; sisters: Lucille, Margaret, Shirley and Verna; brothers: Jim, Jack and C.L.; son-in-law: Don Willoughby; granddaughter-in-law: Donna Willoughby; and grandson: Jeff Willoughby.

Nancy Gwen Farris

Nancy Gwen Farris, age 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Wednesday, April 2, 1941 in Vernon, TX to John “JB” Hardin and Virgel Estelle Vickers.

Those left to cherish her love and her memories are her daughters: Beverly Bridestock and Caitlin Barraza, both of Odessa; brother: Donald Vanzant of Whitesboro; sisters: Tex Ann Templeton of Hartshorne and Donna Jo Nance of Odessa; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons: Wayne, Chris and Bill Sims; and daughter: Leslie Sims

A memorial service will be held 5:00 pm Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Church of God located at 858 E. Broadway in Andrews, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
