Michael D Long Sr 2019
Michael Dean "Rojo" Long Sr.

Michael Dean "Rojo" Long Sr. age 53, of Odessa passed from this life on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Medical Center Hospital.  He was born to Samuel Richard Long Sr. and Sheila Ann (Schoonover) King in Haskell, TX on August 10, 1965.  He worked in the oilfield and was an auto mechanic.

Rojo was a country boy who loved going to the lake, camping and going fishing.  He enjoyed country music and dancing.  He liked riding his bike and going to the game room.  A family man, he was very close to all of his family and adored his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his mother:  Sheila King and husband Bobby of Stanford, TX; father:  Samuel Long Sr. of Throckmorton, TX; sons:  Michael Long Jr. and wife Ashley, Joseph Long, and David Long and wife Hailie, all of Odessa; brothers:  Johnny Garrison of Abilene, Robert Long and wife Sandra of Breckenridge, and Samuel Richard Long Jr. of Odessa; sisters:  Denise Bullock and husband Sam of Graham, Deana Lewis and husband Terry of Anson, and Cassie Lee Moore and husband Gus of Austin; grandchildren:  Michael Long III, Bailey Long, Anthony Long, Hayden Long, Hunter Long, and Heavyn Long; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife:  Vanessa Long.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Brother Lonnie Blevins.

Jose Cruz Barboza Aguilera

Jose Cruz Barboza Aguilera, age 58, of Odessa passed away at his home in Odessa on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.  He was born in Durango, Mexico on June 3, 1960 to the late Manuel de Jesus Barboza and Martina Aguilera Barboza.  He worked in the oilfield as a truck driver and loved his job.

Jose was a cowboy at heart.  He loved all types of music and was a bit of a jokester. 

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife of over 20 years: Raquel Galindo Gonzalez Barboza of Odessa; son:  Josué  Manuel Barboza of Odessa; daughters:  Samary Criselda Barboza Galindo and Rachel Maday Barboza, both of Odessa; brothers:  Natividad Castruita of Arkansas, Rafael Barboza of Alabama, Ramon Barboza of Alabama, Arturo Aguilera and Felipe Aguilera, both of Juarez, MX; sisters:  Meli Barboza Cruz of Odessa, Alma Aguilera, Olivia Galvan, Julia Galvan, and Maria Refugio Aguilera, all of Juarez.

Rosary will be recited at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be at Acres West on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 10:00 am, officiated by Octavio Galindo Gonzalez.  Burial will follow at Odessa II Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include:  Natividad Castruita, Rafael Barboza, Brady Barboza, Marcelino Cruz, and Octavio Galindo. Honorary pallbearers will be Ramon Barboza, Arturo Aguilera, Felipe Aguilera, Meli Barboza Cruz, Alma Aguilera, Olivia Galvan, Julia Galvan, Maria Refugio Aguilera.

Billy W Davis 2019
Billy Wayne Davis

Billy Wayne Davis, age 87, of Odessa passed away at his home on Thursday, April 25, 2019.  He was born in Lipan, TX on October 1, 1931 to the late William Marvin and Mariam (St. Clair) Davis.  He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Billy married Donna Fay DeLisle in Arizona in July of 1962. He was a commercial and residential construction superintendent.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife:  Donna Fay Davis of Odessa; son:  Billy Davis Jr. and wife Mandy of Midland; daughters:  Sherry Bow and husband Paul and Shelly Mallard, all of Odessa; brother:  S.M. "Buddy" Davis of Houston; sisters:  Verda Burns of Irving and Gail Teegarden of Marble Falls; ten grandchildren:  Robin, William, Danielle, Josh, Ripley, Chantee, Trey, Kasyn, Riyen, and Kaeleigh; and nine great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son-in-law:  Mickey Mallard and brother: James.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm at Crossroads Fellowship Chapel on Friday, May 3, 2019, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Braswell.

Joy Y Miller 2019
Joy Yvonne Miller

Joy Yvonne Miller, age 73, passed from this life at her home in Odessa on Saturday, April 27, 2019.  She was born in Abilene, TX on November 1, 1945 to the late Henry and Wyvelle (Simmons) Westberry.  Joy married David Earl Miller in Odessa on November 7, 1969.  She was a homemaker, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Joy was free spirited and loved to go barefoot and play pool and Bingo.  A hell raiser in her younger days, she was a tough disciplinarian who raised her kids strictly - not a "spare the rod" type.  She was stubborn and set in her ways, but loving and generous. She was known to be kind and to help the homeless.  Joy enjoyed life, especially being with friends and family, and loved her grandbabies wholeheartedly.  Her seven dogs became her kids when her own children grew up and left the home.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband:  David Miller of Odessa; son: Timothy Fooshee of Odessa; six daughters:  Tammy Torres of Odessa, Tonya Garcia of Goldsmith, Teresa Miller and Trinity Brown, both of Odessa, Tina Langham of Gardendale, and Toni Strickland of Electra; brother:  Jerry "Bud" Westberry of Oklahoma City, OK; sister: Wanda Gilmore of Hugo, OK; thirty-one grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded to death by her parents and her brother:  Henry Westberry, Jr.

Visitation will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel from 10 am to 2 pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Michael “Mike” Elvin Row

Michael “Mike” Elvin Row was called to perform on the stage high in the sky on April 27, 2019. Mike was born January 31, 1944, in San Angelo, Texas, to Nettie and Elvin “Red” Row. Mike was a Vietnam Vet. He joined the Navy one day before he turned 18, and served proudly for 4 years. Mike worked for his dad and eventually took over Row and Row Construction. It was during this time he met the love of his life, Mary Sanders, love at first sight for both, and they were married July 07, 1978.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Row of Odessa, daughter Terry Duncan and husband Shane of Pflugerville, daughter Chanda Badillo of Odessa, son-in-law, David Badillo of Odessa, daughter Micki Dickman and husband Kirk of Odessa, and son, Kenneth Row, of Midland. Mike leaves behind 12 grandkids: Logan, and Jordan Duncan, Tony, Raymond, Sabryna, and Corryna Badillo, Levi, and wife Raquel, Kiersten, Karsyn, Kadence Dickman, and Kristofer Row and 6 great-grandkids: Alissa, Giovanni, Aubrey, Kashton Badillo, Sebastian Dickman, and Desiree Row. He is also survived Nita Winkleman of Colorado, Linda Row of Midland and Pam Row of Midland, along with numerous nieces and nephews. This is the immediate family. But my dad loved all of y’all and I hope you know he loved each one of you and thought of y’all as family.

He is preceded in death by his dad Elvin, and mom Nettie, brothers Kenneth, and Lynn, and sister Sandy, as well as 2 grandkids Kourtney Row and Sandy Ray Row to welcome him home. He will also be welcomed by other family and of course he will walk that rainbow bridge and pick up his animals along the way.

The family will receive friends Monday evening, April 29, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Donnie Rollie.

Jose Garcia Valenzuela

Jose Garcia Valenzuela, age 77, passed away at his home in Midland, TX on Thursday, May 2, 2019.  He was born Saturday, September 20, 1941 to the late Jose Valenzuela Tavarez and Higinia Garcia Ontiverios.  He worked as a farmer and rancher.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his son:  Jose Lauro Valenzuela Carrasco of Mexico; brother:  Moises Valenzuela Garcia of Midland; sister:  Gloria Valenzuela Garcia of Presidio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Abel Valenzuela Garcia.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Manuel Benavides with interment at Municipal Cementerio de Manuel Benavides.

Hunter Rowland Miller

Hunter Rowland Miller, age 21, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Saturday, April 18, 1998 in Odessa, TX to Jeremy Chad Miller and Tanya Lynn Mitchell.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his mother TLynn Mitchell and spouse Joe of Odessa; wife: Edith Miller Heredia of Odessa; daughter: Natalie Miller of Odessa; brother: Trent Mitchell of Odessa; sister: Tawny Miller of Odessa; Maternal grandmother: Pamela Mitchell of Porter, TX; and paternal grandmother: Jo Cheryl Miller and husband Larry of Rocky Comfort, MO.

He is preceded in death by his father; and maternal grandfather: Tony Mitchell.

Guadalupe Urias Santiesteban

Guadalupe Urias Santiesteban, age 55, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Wednesday, January 22, 1964 in Mexico to Cruz and Dominga Castillo Santiesteban.

Guadalupe loved to cook. She was always there for anyone no matter the situation. She touched your heart and even if you barely met her, she was your best friend. Guadalupe and her husband Armando married in 1981 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, MX. She was a homemaker and she loved her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband: Armando Urias, Sr.; sons: Armando Urias, Jr. and Albian Urias; daughter: Arly B. Urias and husband Edgar; brothers: Jesus Santiesteban, Bruno Santiesteban, Nabor Santiesteban, Gilberto Santiesteban and Pablo Gutierres; sisters: Dominga Pena, Socorro Santiesteban, Valvina Santiesteban and Grasiela Jurado; and four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sons: Santos Urias.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Monday, May 6, 2019 at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel with the interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Jimmy Don Walker 2019
Jimmy Don Walker

Jimmy Don Walker passed away on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019 in  Odessa, Texas at the age of 60.

He was born on April 23,1959 to his loving parents Mary Marjorie Walker and Waylon Guy Walker.  He was raised in Denver City, Texas. He moved to Odessa, TX. in 1977.  He managed the family restaurant BG's Catfish for 13 yrs. where he then met his wife.  He married Cheryl Elizabeth Goolsby Sept. 16th, 1994 in Odessa, TX.  He became a truck driver and last worked for Sentinel Transportation.  He loved historical sites, maps, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, grilling and his dog Sally.  Most of all he loved his family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers Waylon Chris Walker, David Allen Walker and Jeffrey Bruce Walker.

Jim is survived by his wife Cheryl Walker; brother Johnny Walker, his son Taylor Walker; three daughters Tammy Walker, Ashlie Hampton and Meaghin Villalobos; five grandchildren Ashton Haynes, Breanna Walker, Baker Walker,  Dillan Hampton, Samantha Hampton and his special friend Pete Burgess.

Jim will be missed by all.

Graveside memorial services will be 2:00 pm at Loop Cemetery in Loop, TX on Saturday, May 11, 2019.

Dominga Hernandez Lopez

Dominga Hernandez Lopez, age 72, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Sunday, February 16, 1947 in Pecos, TX to Micaela and Ed Hernandez.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband: Jose Lopez; son: Randy Lopez; daughters: Olga Opperud, Lori Baeza and Gilda Contreras; brothers: Ed, Leroy, Jose, Arturo and Lucidra Rodriguez; twenty-one grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons: David and Joe Lopez; brother: Carmello Hernandez; and sisters: Rosa Tarin and Maria Hernandez.

Rosary will be recited 7:00 pm Monday, May 6, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Odessa. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Balmorhea Cemetery in Balmorhea, TX.

Billie Adams 2019
Billie Jean Adams

Billie Jean Adams, 85, of Brady, TX passed away peacefully May 3, 2019 at Buena Vida Nursing Home in Odessa, TX.  Family has opted for cremation with burial to be privately held at a later date.

Billie was born to Jimmy and Lois Fisher in Brady, TX.  She married T.C. Adams in Eunice, NM in 1956.

Billie was a long time meat wrapper at several meat markets, enjoyed watching sports - Odessa High School and Dallas Cowboys.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband:  T.C. Adams and son:  Cal Adams.

Survivors are her daughters:  Debbie Pettit and husband Norman and Donna Jackson and husband Steve; grandchildren:  LaShana Fernandez and husband Marco, LeAnda Pettit, Casey Pettit and wife Ashley, and Cody Jackson; great-grandchildren:  Zach and Dylan Goodson, Lex and Jazz Natividad; and great-great grandchildren:  Karsyn, Kolton, Adien, Ralynn.
