Stephen Allen Desha, Sr., age 66, passed from this life Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Wednesday, January 7, 1953 to James Arnold and Rita Mae Desha in Chattanooga, TN.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Adele Desha; son: Stephen Desha, Jr.; daughter: Amanda Desha; brother: James Desha, Jr.; sister: Linda Desha; seven grandchildren: Alyssa, Shawn Michael, Jazanee, Julianna, JuJu , CJ and Jaxson; and niece: Ashley.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Otis Adrian Williams, Jr., age 90, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Sunday, March 3, 1929 to Lola B. and Otis Williams, Sr. in Merkel, TX.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his sons: Mark Williams and Michael Williams and wife Stephanie; daughter: Joy Loague and husband Robert; sisters: Virgie Walker and Laura Esteve; grandchildren: Renee Mills, Christi Farris, Marcus Williams, Laci Hatcher, and Michael Craig Williams; eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Glenda Williams; sisters: Gerry Thomason and Lee Wells; grandson: Justin Dalton Williams; and great-grandson: Keanu Randall.

Memorial service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Vine Baptist Church. Officiated by Mark Roossinck.

Pastor Jose Angel Moralez, age 70, passed from this life Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Wednesday, August 4, 1948 in Sierra Blanca, TX to Marcelo and Flora (Rodriguez) Moralez.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Martha Moralez; sons: Martin Moralez and wife Cathy, and Mario Moralez and wife Sarai; daughters: Jo An Duer and husband Matthew, Flora Rodriguez and husband Paul, Nancy Moralez, and Isabel Carrillo; brother: Juan Moralez; sisters: Raquel Ramirez and Veronica Aispuro; grandchildren: Joshua, Lindzy, Gabriel, Lydian, Taygan, Michael, Matthew, Samantha, Jacob, Joseph, James, Eli, Naomi, Marius, Isaiah, Abram, Caleb and Belisa; and great-grandchildren: Salem and Eli.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

All services and viewing will be at Templo Alpha y Omega at 13106 W. 42nd St. in Odessa. On Saturday, March 9, 2019, public viewing will be from 2-6 PM followed by an evening service from 7-10 PM with Pastor Lorenzo Ramirez of Sierra Blanca officiating. On Sunday, March 10, public viewing will be from 2-5 PM followed by an evening service from 5-9 PM with Pastor Efrain Mendoza of Fort Stockton officiating. Funeral services will be on Monday, March 11 at 12:30 PM with Pastor Joel Torres of Odessa officiating. Interment will follow at the Odessa II section of the Ector County Cemetery. Mario Morales, James Ray Thompson, Jr., Eliseo Thompson, Lorenzo Ramirez, Jr., Salvador Morales, and Manuel Rivera, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Marius Walker, Gabriel Avelar, Abram Carrillo, Isaiah Curry, and Caleb Carrillo are honorary pallbearers.

Martha I. Gonzalez de Carrillo, age 65, passed from this life Friday, March 8, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Friday, May 15, 1953 to Ramon and Cliseria (Mota) Gonzalez in Colonia el Pueblito, MX.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband of 46 years: Jose Carrillo; son: Martin Carrillo; daughters: Griselda Lujan and Sandra Jurado and husband Alejandro; sisters: Maria de Jesus Mancha and husband Guadalupe and Ana Maria Mancha and husband Cruz; and grandchildren: Jose, Jyson, Jordan and Jazmin Lujan.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son: Jose Martin Carrillo; and brothers: Cipriano and Benjamin Gonzalez.

A rosary will be recited 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 14, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the interment to follow at the Odessa II Gardens Section of the Ector County Cemetery.

San Juana Hernandez

San Juana Hernandez, age 76, passed from this life Friday, March 8, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Sunday, October 4, 1942 in Matamoros, MX to the late Cipriano and Maria Ines (Castruita) Munoz.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her daughter: Amabilia Rodriguez and husband Ruben; sons: Hernmino Hernandez and wife Socorro, Ismael Hernandez and wife Refugia, Jose Hernandez and wife Socorro, Cornelio Hernandez and wife Araceli, Fernando Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez and wife Virginia, Jorge Hernandez and wife Andrea, and Epifanio Hernandez; brothers: Miguel, Secario and Juan Castruita; sisters: Teresa Madrid and Maria de Jesus Medrano; twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eusebio Hernandez; son: Emetirio Hernandez; and parents.

Terry Wayne Taylor

Terry Wayne Taylor died peacefully at Medical Center Hospital on March 8, 2019 in Odessa, Texas at the age of 55.

Terry is survived by his parents: Tom and Betty Nail of Odessa; wife Tammy Taylor; children, Kane Taylor and Joshua McKenith, Charles Bolte, Kayleigh Serviss, and Chanda Bolte; siblings, Lena Bell and Betty Hill of Midland, Texas and Jimmy Hill of Phoenix, Arizona; grandkids, Lydia and Charles Bolte Jr, Levine, Josiah, and Joseph.

Terry was born on November 28, 1963 in Odessa, Tx to parents Betty and Ray Taylor. His favorite hobbies included watching Nascar races, BBQ’s, spending time with his wife and family at the lake, “bank fishing” and admiring Harley Davidson motorcycles. Perhaps his most favorite thing to do was to watch over his Mom, who was his best friend.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa, Texas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Terry’s life.

Melba Faye Sanders, age 88, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Crane, TX. She was born Tuesday, September 16, 1930 in Paris, TX to Lester and Izola (Windham) Spann.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband: Donald L. Sanders; sons: Jeff Harrison and Kenneth Harrison, Jr. (May); daughters: Rebecca Hallmark and Donna Coursey (Olen); brothers: Don Spann and Jack Spann; sister: Joyce Jackson; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother: Gary Spann.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Ancelmo Ramirez Arenivas, age 88, passed from this life Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Sunday, March 30, 1930 in Ojinaga, MX to the late Aniceto and Paula (Ramirez) Arenivas.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his sons: Cruz Arenivas and wife Ana of Odessa, Meli Arenivas and wife Lorena of Amarillo, Manuel Arenivas of Chihuahua, and Bernardo Madrid and wife Lily of Fort Worth; daughters: Ramona Ortalejo, Leti Vicuna and Yesenia Arenivas, all of Odessa; sister: Maria Zuniga of Ojinaga, twenty-six grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Manuela Arenivas; son: Arnulfo Arenivas; brothers: Jesus and Cruz Arenivas; sisters: Maria Elena Hernandez, Josefa Muniz and Maria Luisa Valenzuela; and granddaughter: Kimberly Baeza.

A rosary will be recited 7:00 pm Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 15, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Los Angeles section of the Ector County Cemetery.

Guy L Stewart 2019 
Guy Lewis Stewart

Guy Lewis Stewart, age 62, passed from this life Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in Midland, TX. He was born Tuesday, June 12, 1956 in Midland to Albert Lewis and Sue Stewart.

Guy had a passion for ranching. He was born and raised on a ranch. Ranching and being a cowboy was always a way of life for him. He loved operating heavy equipment. Guy was employed with Midland County Road and Bridge for over 30 years and became a Superintendent before retiring. He enjoyed being a truck driver. He had a very simple way of life and loved the Lord. Guy always treated others the way he would want to be treated. He was a loving, caring and devoted father, husband and friend who will be missed.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife of thirty-three years: Dana Stewart; daughter: Mariah Earles and husband Pat; mother; and sisters: Brenda Coleman and Gwen Frederickson.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Nohemi Sanchez Flores

Nohemi Sanchez Flores, age 68, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Sunday, June 11, 1950 in Cedillos, Chihuahua to Isabel (Parra) and Eliseo Sanchez, Sr.

Nohemi loved to cook and spend time with her family. She enjoyed music, cookouts, and knitting blankets for all of her grandchildren. She had a strong faith in God as well as the Virgin Mary. Nohemi was a loving and faithful wife, and a caring mother who will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband: Hector Flores; son” Gilberto Flores and wife Myrna; daughter: Alma Pearla Flores; brothers: Ernesto Sanchez, Eliseo Sanchez and wife Delfina, Hector Sanchez, and Humberto Sanchez and wife Antonia; sisters: Olivia Rayos, Isela Pantoja and Maria Isabel Padilla and husband Filemon; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son: Jose Hector Flores; parents; brothers: Elisandro, Ruben and Raymundo Sanchez; and sister: Armida Beltran.

Rosary will be recited 7:00 pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 15 - 17, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm Monday, March 18, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Los Angeles Gardens section of the Ector County Cemetery.
