Ornal Lee Henderson, age 82, of Odessa, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Wilson, Oklahoma on Sunday, August 9, 1936 to the late Oscar Lee and Gertha Baletta (Pressley) Henderson. Lee married Helen Tennison on February 9, 1958 and they had just celebrated 61 loving years together. He was a faithful member of River of Hope Christian Fellowship. Atruck driver, he had worked many years for the city of Odessa and for Williams Paving. He loved his job and anything that had to do with trucks, truck driving or truck shows.
Lee loved the guitar and would play and sing with his son. His wife and son were well loved by him. He always had a big smile for everyone. His love for passing out candy to children had earned him the nick-name "Candy Man" at church.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Doyle Lynn Henderson and Oric Dee Henderson; and three sisters: Leona Maye Henderson, Trillis Emagene Couch, and Baby Girl Henderson.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Helen Henderson of Odessa; son: Charles Lee Henderson; sisters: Joyce Ladean Morgan, Letta Fern Marrow and Gequita Vaughn Douglas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Pastor Renee Phillips will officiate. Interment follows at Odessa II Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pastor Steve Phillips, Pastor Shawn Lane, Bobby Stark 2.0, Jesse Castillo, Billy Pramburg, Cas Luna, and Virginia Martinez. Jack loved motorcycles and collecting guns. He enjoyed going to Scottish festivals and played the bagpipes and wore a kilt. Jack is originally from Michigan but lived in Odessa since 1962. He was a hard working man and a “do it yourselfer”.

Katherine Denise Paz, also known as "Kat" and "Huera", age 56, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Thursday, February 14, 2019. She was born in Big Spring, TX on December 14, 1962 to the late Hugh and Goldie (Dawes) Tuck. Kat married Sammy Paz in Odessa on March 7, 1981 and they were nearing the celebration of 38 years of marriage. Kat worked for ECISD as a school bus driver and was a diehard Cowboys fan.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband: Sammy Paz of Odessa; mother and father-in-law: Cira and Luis Paz of Odessa; sisters: Susan Hankins and husband Dwight of Odessa, Stacey John and husband Chris of Goldsmith, and Lynn Carver and husband Joe of Odessa; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved blue heeler: Chief.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Tony and Bobby Tuck; and her sisters: Nancy T. Wood and Mary T. Hudspeth.

Isai Garcia Almance, age 29, of Odessa, passed away in Midland, TX on Thursday, February 14, 2019. He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on Saturday, March 18, 1989 to Jose Luis and Virginia (Almance Ramirez) Garcia. He worked in the oilfield as a fabricator and inspector and worked in a paint shop.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father: Jose Luis Garcia of Mexico; three daughters: Arianna Garcia, Ayari Garcia, and Annais Garcia, all of Odessa; brother: Josue Garcia of Midland; two sisters: Aida Garcia of Ft. Stockton and Yuri Garcia of Odessa; niece: Deziree and three nephews: Edward, Ely and Josue Jr.
His mother precedes him in death.
Funeral services will be at a later date in Ojinaga, Mexico with burial to follow at Tierras Nuevas.

Jacoby Christopher McKay, age 30, of Carlsbad, NM, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February14, 2019 in Carlsbad, NM. He was born in Monahans, TX on May 6, 1988 to James Christopher McKay and Sylvia McKay-Pendergrass. He was a truck driver in the oilfield industry.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his father: Chris McKay of Hobbs, NM; mother: Sylvia McKay-Pendergrass of Odessa; maternal grandmother: Helen Pendergrass of Odessa; paternal grandmother: Billie McKay of Wink; daughter: Jaelea McKay of Carlsbad; sister: Gabrielle McKay of Midland; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Billy Pendergrass and paternal grandfather: Jimmy McKay.
Jacoby attended two school years in Loving, NM and two years in Carlsbad, NM along with graduating from Carlsbad, NM. He loved all sports and excelled in football and golf. He loved writing music and singing as well. Jacoby was also on the series of Black Gold season 3 filming in 2010 in Midland, TX. Jacoby always had an upbeat personality and a smile on his face. He loved being around his family dearly, especially his daughter, Jaelea.
Jacoby gave his life to Christ when he was 13 years old in 2001, at First Christian Church in Carlsbad, NM. He loved reading and studying his Bible. Jacoby never claimed to be the perfect child, but always knew he could depend on God anytime.
A Celebration of Jacoby's life will be Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa at 2:00 pm.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her daughters: Debra Marie Hembree and Cynthia Joy Chambers; brother: Rex Alma; significant other: Steve; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren with one on the way; and dozens of nieces and nephews.

He was born in Erick, OK on Sunday, January 31, 1932 to the late Clyde Raymond and Mary (Holland) Brindle. He worked as an operator for Halliburton for 32 years. He was an elder at River of Hope Christian Fellowship.
