Tracy Lynette O'Connor

Tracy Lynette O'Connor, age 52, of Odessa, passed away at her home in Odessa on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.  She was born in Odessa on July 5, 1966 to Bert and Geneva Helen (Seay) O'Connor.  Tracy worked at Dollar General as a cashier. 

Tracy described herself as a rough around the edges country girl.  She had a big heart and loved animals.  She was always the advocate for the underdog.  She was known for cracking jokes and being the loudest person in the room, but she also loved her quiet time.  Tracy enjoyed time with her family and loved her kids and grandkids with all of her heart.  A crafty person, she made necklaces and liked to do her nails.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her daughters:  Courtney Vasquez of San Angelo, Jessica Vasquez and husband Ted Wesson of Odessa and Krystal Williams of Odessa; parents:  Bert and Geneva O'Connor of Odessa; brother:  Donald O'Connor of Azle; sisters:  Sandy Winstead and husband Tom and Carla Roberts and husband K.W., all of Odessa; and five beloved grandchildren:  Monica Chavez, Teaghan Wesson, Tryston Allen, Kenzi Allen, Cybella Holman, and Annalia Chavez.

She is preceded in death by her sister,  Connie Lynn Humphreys and one grandson, Thaddeus Wesson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 am at Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Winstead, Thomas Wesson, Matthew Roberts and Patrick Roberts.

Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Delia Garcia Granados 2019
Delia Garcia Granados

Delia Garcia Granados, age 68, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Thursday, January 31, 2019.  She was born in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico on Tuesday, April 11, 1950 to the late Paulino Granados and Guadalupe Garcia. 

She is survived by her husband:  Carlos Galindo of Odessa; sons:  Ruben Galindo of Ojinaga and Carlos Galindo Jr. of Odessa; daughters:  Delia Galindo and Margarita Galindo, both of Ojinaga, and Rosaura Galindo of Odessa; brothers:  Gustavo Granados of Odessa and Manuel Granados of Mexico; sisters:  Nancy Nieto of Odessa, Teresa Bueno of Andrews and Martha Granados of Ojinaga; and sixteen grandchildren.

Her parents, her brother: Gaspar Granados; and her sister:  Manuela Granados, precede her in death.

Funeral services will be held in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico with burial to take place at Jardines de San Jose.

Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa and Funeraria de Valle in Ojinaga.  

Maribel Chavez
Maribel Chavez

Maribel Chavez, age 42, passed from this life peacefully surrounded by the people she loved on Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Thursday, February 19, 1976 in Juarez, Mexico to Carlos and Virginia (Landeros) Orozco.  In addition to being a manager at Delicias Restaurant for over 10 years, she was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and god-mother.

Maribel was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was very devoted to the church and her faith.  She had a servant heart and was a caretaker to many.  She loved children, volunteered for Make-a-Wish and was a Zumba Instructor.  Maribel had an amazing smile and a generous heart. She was full of life and was an angel on earth.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband of over 25 years:  Rodrigo Chavez of Odessa; son: Rigo Chavez of Odessa; daughters: Zuleika, Samantha and Nadxielly Chavez, all of Odessa; father:  Carlos Orozco of El Paso; grandmother:  Maria Trinidad Landeros of El Paso; brothers: Fernando Orozco and wife Adriana and Cristan Orozco and wife Mirna, all of Odessa; brother-in-law:  Alberto Chavez and wife Susana of Odessa; sister-in-law:  Anahi Garcia and husband Timoteo of Odessa; one grandchild: Bella Luna; and nieces and nephews:  Briana, Kitzia, Adrian, Briseyda, Javier, Ryan, Damian, Alana, Abigail and Noah.

She is preceded in death by her mother.

Rosary will be recited 6:00 pm on Sunday February 3, 2019 at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday, February 4, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Anthony Patrick Pellissier

Anthony Patrick Pellissier, age 52, passed away in Midland, TX on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.  He was born in San Jose, CA on December 11, 1966 to Harold Deville Pellissier and Beverly Verda (Simcoe) White.  He worked as a truck driver in the oilfield.

Anthony was a great cook.  Cooking for others was his way of showing his love for you.  He was a caring and loving husband, and was always looking after his mother.  He was the kind of person who always had your back.  He enjoyed helping people and was an animal lover.  Anthony loved motorcycles.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife:  Eva Maria Pellissier of Odessa; mother:  Beverly White of Odessa; sons:  Dameon Pellissier of Odessa, Terry Sowell and wife Naomi, T.C. Laster, T.J. Lindsey, Nathan Gage, and Wesley Hann, all of Hobbs, NM; daughter:  Samantha Chidester of Hobbs; brothers:  Robert Pellissier and wife Laurie of Hobbs, and Frederick Pellissier and wife Esmeralda of Falls City, OR; sisters: Beverly Pellissier and husband Thomas Maldonado of Conroe, AR, Frances Miller of Hobbs, and Paula Montemayor of Hutto, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father:  Harold Pellissier; step-father:  William Myrom White; and brother:  Harold Pellissier, Jr.

No services will be held at this time.

Mary Ella Walker

Mary Ella Walker, age 71, of Odessa, passed away at Odessa Regional Medical Center on Saturday, February 2, 2019.  She was born in Kermit, TX on Christmas Day, December 25, 1947 to Kenneth and Netta (Jolly) Norton.  Mary married Charles Jeryl Walker in Odessa in July of 1971and they enjoyed almost 42 years of married life together before separated by his death in 2013.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her sons:  Sheldon Rodgers and wife Dianna and Chad Walker and wife Amy, all of Odessa; daughter:  Amy Arnold and husband Eric of Spicewood; two brothers:  Johnny Norton of Kermit and Vernon Norton of Kansas; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother:  Michael Norton, and her sister:  Wendy Norton Jones.

No services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Ruben Neria Gonzales, age 61, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Medical Center Hospital.  He was born in Odessa on September 10, 1957 to the late Daniel H. and Frances (Neria) Gonzales.  Ruben worked as a roustabout in the oilfield.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his sons: Juan Daniel Gonzales of Midland, Ruben Gonzales, Jr. of Odessa, and Michael Gonzales of Odessa; daughter:  Ruby Gonzales of Odessa; three brothers:  Juan Manuel Gonzales of Austin, Edward Gonzales of Odessa, and David Gonzales of Odessa; three sisters:  Celia Munoz, Rebecca Gonzales, and Rosa Gonzales, all of Odessa; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation at the funeral home begins Wednesday, February 6th at 11:00 am. Rosary will be recited at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be the following morning, February 8, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Acres West 24 Hour Chapel, officiated by Father Joe Uecker.  Interment will follow at Odessa II Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Tracy Daniel Chessher

Tracy Daniel Chessher, age 63, passed from this life Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Tuesday, July 12, 1955 in Odessa, TX to John Daniel Chessher and Joyce Marie Chessher.

Tracy always loved working on anything with a motor. From the moment he was little, he was taking things apart, and putting them back together. He had a big heart and loved to help people. Tracy worked for Bridges Equipment for over ten years. He was a recovering alcoholic who was sober for over eleven years, and would help anyone willing to go to meetings.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his sons: Daniel Seth and wife Sara, Devin Chessher, and Dusty Chessher; daughter: Stephanie Solton and fiancé Antonio Ruiz; sisters: Sandy Tucker and husband Ed, Trudy Wallace, Tammy Bruce and husband Michael and Zina Ham and husband Robert; one grandchild: Olivia Seth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service will be 12:00 PM Saturday, February 9, 2019 at The Basin Group in Odessa, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Denise Yvonne Beard, age 57, passed from this life Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Odessa, TX. She was born Tuesday, August 29, 1961.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her son: Dustin Beard (Becca Hendrix); daughter: Monica Brown (Brett Wright) and Angela Pacheco (Michael Pinick); parents: Darrell Lloyd and Bertha Thomas; brother: Paul Calhoun; sisters: Debi Grigsby, Diane Cox and Dorothy Calhoun; and numerous grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Douglas Eugene and Ila Faye Calhoun.

Manuel Tarango Muniz, age 79, passed from this life Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Odessa, TX. He was born Sunday, June 18, 1939 in Candelaria, TX to the late Tomas Muniz and Juana Tarango.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Antonia Alvarado Muniz; sons: Manuel Muniz, Jr., Tomas, Serjio and Jose Muniz; daughters: Juanita Villalon, Aracely Portillo and Rosalinda Muniz; sisters: Alicia Muniz, Maria Aguirre, Juanita Muniz, Tomasa Serna, Elia Rubio, and Elva and Emma Porras; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Jose and Ruben Muniz; and sisters: Elvira Rey, Jesusita Barriga, and Elisa Castillo.

Visitation will be 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, and 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Thursday, February 14, 2019 with a Rosary being recited at 7:30 pm at Pecos Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Pecos, TX. Interment will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her sons: Juan Garcia and wife Aide of Texas, Michael Garcia and wife Amy of Texas, Fredrico Braulio Garcia and wife Tammi of Colorado and Don Carlos Garcia and wife Helen of Texas; daughters: Kristina Stogsdill and husband Craig of Wyoming, Katina Flowers and husband Koby of Colorado, Ana Jimenez, Alisha Ferrell, Lucy Ferrell and Amy Ferrell; brothers: Charlie and Melvin Simmons; sisters: Betty Maxwell, Suzy Begay and Karen Cortez and numerous grandchildren:  Jessica Silva, Alexandra, Johnathon, Sebastian, Esteban, Juan Jr., Mireya, Joseph, Cailee, Cody, Lilah, Heather, Ethan, Imari, Janelli, Don Jr., Mercedes, and Leo; great-grandchildren:  Addie, R.J., Aria, Luna, Steven, Anthony, Aaron, Ethan Jose, Olivia, Cesar, Jana, Gabriel, and Emberlynn; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
