Angelina Marie Walker, age 25, of Odessa, passed from this life Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Medical Center. She was born Saturday, September 19, 1992 to Joseph Walker and Ruby Hunt in Odessa, TX.

Angelina was a loving mother. She was compassionate, caring, protective, rowdy, and understanding person. She was anything but conventional. Angelina enjoyed going to game rooms and playing scratch off lotto tickets. She loved music and would often communicate with you through it. She was someone who always told you what you needed to hear, not what you wanted to hear.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her mother: Ruby Casteel; father: Joseph Walker; stepmother: Stephanie Carpenter; adoptive mother: Ramona Sellars; god father:  Sh'Caris Searcy; sons: Zane Walker and Cayden Parum; daughter: Avery McCarty; brothers: Lyndon and Chance Walker, Kevin Casteel and Jeremy Wright; and sisters: Crystal Gayle Waldroupe, Chasity Walker, Evelyn Carney, Crystael Wright, and Samantha Carpenter.

She is preceded in death by her dad: Leland Casteel.

Viewing will be 5-9 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday at Acres West Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Bro. Mark Harper.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Andrea Kay Wright

Andrea Kay Wright, age 60, of Odessa, passed from this life Sunday, September 2, 2018 in Odessa, TX. She was born Sunday, May 14, 1958 to the late Andy Eugene and Shirley (Smith) Register in Bakersfield, California.

Andrea enjoyed bowling and bowled with her husband for many years. She was a kind, loving, and giving person, who was always there to help. She loved animals, especially dogs. She had an amazing personality and was loved by so many people, even her customers at Texas Burger and Firehouse Subs.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband: Ricky Wright; brother: Howard Register; sisters: Ellen Harrelson and husband Bob and Linda Jones; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Carrie Wright; and brothers: Johnny Register and Bobby Register.

A Memorial Service will take place at 2 PM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Brother Clydel Chapman. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

David Brian Brown, age 50, of Odessa, passed from this life Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in Odessa, TX. He was born Tuesday, October 10, 1967 to Phillip and Brenda Brown in Pecos, TX.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Jennifer Nutter; his parents: Mike and Brenda Johnson; daughters: Tabatha Brown, Hailey Norris, and Shelby Norris; brother: Eric Michael Johnson and wife Kimberly; grandchildren: Marilyn, Corey, Zoey and Zaedyn; two nephews, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; dog: Princess Love; and cat: Precious Ness

Edward O’Neill

Edward O’Neill, age 73, passed from this life Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in Odessa, TX. He was born Tuesday, November 21, 1944 to the late Eugenia (Genie)  Ezell and Edward Carlin O’Neill in Texarkana, Texas.

Edward loved fishing, rodeos, roping and the outdoors. He was a hard worker and worked for Parts Plus for 16 years. He was a highly sought after parts salesman for 60 years. Edward loved his grandchildren. He was loved by everyone and he was a prankster. He was always picking on someone, and teller of tall tales and fish stories.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Deborah O’Neill; son: Larry Phillips; daughters: Eugenia (Genie) O’Neill Edie and husband Michael and Tandery O’Neill Henry and husband Jason; sisters: Peggy O’Neill and Ellen O’Neill Petray and husband Tom; nine grandchildren: Ashley O’Neill, Brandon O’Neill, Amanda Phillips, Amber Henry, Lawren Phillips, Cody O’Neill, David Blackmon, Madison Henry, and Kadynce Henry; and one great grandchild: Tenleigh Blackmon.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Socorro “Suki” Garcia Aguilar

Socorro “Suki” Garcia Aguilar, age 65, passed from this life Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Odessa, TX. She was born Saturday, September 27, 1952 to Manuel B. Garcia and Maria (Calderon) Garcia in Pecos, TX.

Suki was kind, funny and loving. She loved her grandchildren and took care of her great grandchildren. She was a great cook who loved cooking for anyone and would host every birthday party. Suki loved music, her Telemundo novelas and traveling. She took care of the elderly for years.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are sons: Tommy Aguilar and Tony Aguilar; daughter: Rebecca Aguilar; brothers: Saul Garcia, Ramon Garcia and Manuel Garcia Jr.; sisters: Catalina Garcia, Aida Mata, and Petra Rayos; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother: Teofilo Garcia; and sisters: Carlota Zubiate and Eloisa Bustamante.

A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2018. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Jerry Leonard Duley

Jerry Leonard Duley, age 73, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, September 6th, 2018. He was born to John and Evelyn Duley in Poseyville, Indiana, on October 10, 1944. His family moved to Andrews where he graduated from Andrews High School. He married Tamara Hill-Duley on November 2, 1991, in Odessa, Texas. Jerry was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was an owner of Hill’s Kwik Printing and was working as a drilling consultant for MDC Texas Energy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Roland. He is survived by his wife, Tamara, of Midland, his children, Debbie Lee of Odessa,Pamela Womack of Midland, and Todd Duley of Odessa. His siblings, David and wife Gail of Detroit, TX, Donna and husband Roger Barnes of Andrews, Suzette Baird of Andrews, Sandra and husband Kenneth Yarbrough of New Braunfels, sister-in-law Dewana Duley of New Braunfels, as well as six grandchildren, seven great-grand children and many nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed special relationships with in-laws Sam and Jimmie Hill, his nephew Collin Clark, niece, Sonya Marquez, and loved their four legged fur-babies Presley, Coco, Lila, Sophie, Dixie, Jada, Ginger and Ivory.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 8th, at 1:30 pm at Immanuel Baptist Church, 4020 East University, Odessa, Texas.

The family wishes to thank all of those who have supported them during his brief illness.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Immanuel Baptist Church (4020 East University, Odessa, TX, 79762).

Guadalupe Barrera Marquez

Guadalupe Barrera Marquez, age 75, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Odessa, TX. She was born January 10, 1943 in Floresville, TX to the late Jose P. and Isabel (Escobedo) Barrera.

Guadalupe was a cafeteria manager for ECISD for many years. She was a great cook and loved cooking for others. She loved Facebook, reading, crossword puzzles and word finds. Guadalupe was a devoted mother, wife, and sister who was always there for her family, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her son: Jose Alfredo Marquez and fiancé Eva Chavez; brother: Daniel Barrera and wife Eva Rodriguez; sister: Isabel Flores; grandchildren: Victoria Marquez, Carlos Mujica, Jonathan Salazar and James Salazar; and great grandchildren: Camila Marquez, Analia Marquez, Levi Mujica, Araceli Salazar, Abrie Salazar, Rudy Salazar, Elliana Salazar and Ezra Salazar.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Alfredo Marquez; parents; and sons: David Salazar and Robert “Bobby” Marquez.  

A Prayer Service will take place at 7:00 PM Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Acres West 24 Hour Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, September 10, 2018 at New Life Chapel with interment to follow at Rosehill section of the Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Serena Regina Owens, age 56, passed from this life Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Odessa, TX. She was the eldest of 5 children born on Thursday, February 7, 1962 to Watson Owens Sr. and Irene (Brown) Owens in Waco, TX. She went to McGregor Schools and made her home here in Odessa, TX. 

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her son: Quinton Owens (Britany); daughters: Charity Owens and Veronica Jordan (Antoine); mother: Irene Owens; sisters: Petelia Caufield (LA), Judelia Boswell (Herbert), and Evelyn Carter (Mike); and four grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her father: Watson Owens; and brother; Cecil Owens. 

No services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Juan Luis Nunez Saenz
Juan Luis Nuñez Saenz

Juan Luis Nuñez Saenz, 53, of Kermit, TX, passed away Sunday, September 09, 2018 in Odessa, TX. He was born Sunday December 27, 1964 to the late Sebastian Nunez Camarillo and Herlinda Saenz Maldonado in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sons: Luis Nuñez, Hugo Nuñez, and Rolando Nuñez; daughter: Stephanie Nuñez; brothers: Chito Nuñez Saenz and Humberto Nuñez Saenz; sisters: Myrna Nuñez Saenz and Lola Nuñez Saenz; and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date in Mexico, with burial to follow at Cementerio Municipal Saucillo, in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Alexyanna Genae Valencia, age 7, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 in Odessa, TX. She was born Thursday, December 23, 2010 in Odessa, TX to Genaro and Brianna Valencia.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her parents; grandparents: Genaro and Sulema Valencia, and Terry and Shelly Eaton; great grandparents: Lynda Pentry, Leonor Valencia and Marie Rodriguez; brother: Genaro Xavier Valencia; sister: Audiella Eleanor Valencia; uncles: Jose Camacho and wife Yoli, Antonio Valencia, Brandon Kennedy and wife Tiffany, Bryant Eaton and Braydon Eaton; and aunts: Erica Camacho and husband Mike, Miriam Valencia and husband Ben, Brittney Eaton and husband Eli, and Breena Eaton and husband Jacob.

Visitation will begin Thursday afternoon (September 13, 2018) at 3:00 PM.  A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, September 14, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 14, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
