Grace McCormack Varela, age 75, of Odessa, TX entered eternity on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born in Marfa, TX on January 26, 1943 to the late Homer and Petra (Madrid) McCormack. Grace married Pablo S. Varela in Odessa on January 28, 1967. He preceded her on his Heavenly journey November 30, 2015.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her daughters: Himelda Varela and Marla V. Barrera and husband Freddie, all of Odessa; son: Luis M. Varela of Odessa; brother: Joe McCormack; sister: Pearla Granado; and four grandchildren: Amanda D. Barrera, Luis A. Barrera, Richard P. Varela, and Ruby A. Varela.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, her son: Stephen Castillo, and four siblings, Jimmy McCormack, Charles McCormack, Johnny McCormack and Alice M. Ramirez.
Visitation at the funeral home will begin Saturday at 2:00 pm. Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:00 pm at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Following funeral services, Grace will be interred with her husband at Ector County Cemetery in the Peaceful Gardens Section. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
Rebecca Natividad, age 59, of Odessa, TX entered eternity on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born in Odessa, TX on March 8, 1959 to Bernardo and Jesusita (Flores) Ramos.
Rebecca loved her customers at Fashion Cleaners where she served them for over 20 years. Rebecca was also a full time wife and mother. She was very clever and innovative and her house was truly a home. She loved being beautiful and surrounding herself with beautiful things. One of her gifts was her ability to make anything and make it well. Her motto was, "If you can't buy it, make it." She decorated her house and made it into a warm and wonderful home. Using her talents to decorate for weddings and quinceañeras, she also earned money to help provide for her family. A strong, independent woman who raised three very strong daughters, her loving determination to make her home a haven (as well as her humble reluctance to take the credit) was a model for her daughters. Rebecca celebrated life with her husband and shared love and laughter with those around her.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband: Ray Natividad; three daughters: JoAnn Simmers and husband Terry, Veronica Valdez, and Aimee Gabrielle Aguero; brother: Robert Ramos; two sisters: Juliana Chavez and Rosalinda Vega; and five grandchildren: Evan McDonald, Esai Valdez, Madison Simmers, Makenna Simmers, and Malachi McClure.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Bernardo and Jesusita Ramos; brother: Manuel Ramos; and sister: Belia Ramos.

Athena Norlene Pritchard, age 45, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Saturday, April 7, 2018. She was born in Roswell, New Mexico on February 3, 1973 to Larry Jacobs and Mary (Ricks) Tindol. Athena worked at Texas Burger, where she loved working for Miss Casie. She was a 1991 graduate of Odessa High School.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her parents: Larry Jacobs of Holbert, OK and Mary and Jr. Tindol of Odessa, TX; daughters: Courtney Pritchard and Cheyenne Pritchard, both of Odessa, TX; brothers: Greg Tindol of Odessa, TX and Larry Jacobs Jr. of Houston, TX; sisters: Laura Tindol of Odessa and Zoraya Callaway of Dallas, TX, TX; grandchild: Jack Wusterbarth and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Buddy and Virginia Jacobs and maternal grandmother: Norma Nichols.

Eloisa Rivera, age 91, of Marfa, TX entered eternity on Saturday, April 7, 2018. She was born in Marfa, TX on February 21, 1927 to the late Luz and Julia (Tarango) Martinez.
Eloisa was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member and very involved with St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Eloisa served as a Eucharistic Minister since the 1990’s. She will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her sons: Eddie Rivera and Larry Rivera, both of Marfa and Joe Rivera (Eleanor) of Kermit; daughters: Inez Chavez of Monahans, Julia Balderrama (Raul) and Delia Pando (Alfredo), both of Kermit and sisters: Josephina Dominguez of Marfa and Esther Lopez (Joe) of Kermit; as well as 22 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 25 great great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Eloisa is preceded in death by her beloved husband Hilario Rivera, her son: Patricio Rivera, and granddaughter: Patricia Rivera.
The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marfa, TX. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Merced Cemetery in Marfa, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
Manuel Castillo, age 67, of Odessa, TX entered eternity on Monday, April 9, 2018. He was born in Barrancos de Guadalupe, Mexico on October 25, 1950.
Manuel was a hardworking man and rancher. He loved to laugh and joke and was very funny. Manuel loved his family very much and will be missed dearly all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his beloved wife of 50 years: Micaela Castillo; sons: Jose Luis Castillo (Aurora) and Manuel Castillo Jr. (Saray); daughters: Norma Alicia Castillo (Hilario Caballero), Rosa Aurora Pena (Rodrigo), Elida Cepeda (Marcelo) and Maricela Marquez (Mario); brothers: Ernesto Gutierrez, Juan Gonzales, Ruben Gonzales and Jesus Castillo; sister: Irma Castillo; as well as 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Aurelia Castillo.

Sandra Schaffer, age 77, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Monday, April 9, 2018. She was born in Fruita, Colorado on September 22, 1940 to the late Charles and Mary (Jones) Myers.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her sons: Charles and David Cox; daughters: Deborah Jones, Deanna Drew, Gayla Hamilton, Mary Bolinger and Tammy Merritt; brother: Frank Myers; sisters: Patricia Cave, Leeann Matthews and Sharon Myers; as well as 18 grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Gerald Schaffer in 2001; brother: David Myers and sister: Marietta McQuitty.

Ricky Ray Kelley, age 58, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Monday, April 9, 2018. He was born in Big Lake, TX on July 31, 1959 to the late AJ and Winnie Belle (Dean) Kelley.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his beloved wife: Barbara Ann Kelley; son: Michael Wayne Kelley of Andrews, TX; daughter: Michelle Kelley King of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother: Rory Kelley of Washington; sister: Rosemarie Kelley Whitlock of Oklahoma City; as well as 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

On Sunday, April 8, 2018 Mattie B. Stampford Cole, age 85, of Odessa, TX began her Heavenly train ride to be with our Lord and Savior. Mattie B. Cole was born in Mart, TX on April 16, 1932 to the late Mr. James Arthur and Mrs. Mary (Kimbel) Stampford. She attended Brownfield Public Schools.
Mattie was married to Cleotha Cole on February 22, 1972, in Crosbyton, TX. Mattie accepted Christ at an early age and worked faithfully as a missionary. She worked as a certified nurse's aide, housekeeper, caregiver, and elevator operator. She was owner of a cafe in Crosbyton, TX. Mattie was a woman of strong faith and to say that she loved to fish would be an understatement!
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her niece: Jacqueline D. Burditt of Odessa, TX and her nephew: Freddie J. Kirkwood of Columbia, SC; special friends: Peggy Williams of Crosbyton and Charles Frater; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. James A. Stampford and Mrs. Mary (Kimbel) Stampford; and her siblings, (brother) William Lewis Jr. and (sister) Corine (Stampford) Kirkwood.
A wake will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd, Odessa, TX 79764. Homegoing Services will begin at 10:00 am on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Acres West, followed by a meal at Mackey Chapel, 306 W. Clements, Odessa, TX, 79763.

Peggie Eilers, age 83, passed from this earth at her home in Odessa and began her life in her eternal home on Monday, April 9, 2018. She was born August 4, 1934 in Walsenburg, CO to the late Felix and Xanthabell (Ribble) Teeters. She married Leo William Eilers Jr. on March 15, 1952 in Roscoe, TX.
Peggie was a precious daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and loyal friend.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her beloved husband of 66 years: Leo William Eilers Jr.; children: Patsy Eilers Ellis and husband Barry, Betty Sue Eilers Clay and husband Richard, Paula Eilers Houndshell and husband Perry and Larry Don Eilers and wife Monica; sister: Kathy Young and husband M.L.; as well as 8 grandchildren: Matt, Brandy, Christy, Caleb, Amanda, Travis, Amy and Brandon; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: F. A. Eilers; brothers: Jerl and Bert Teeters Sr. and great-granddaughter: Caitlyn Leigh Cotton.

Robert Ray Calvert was born December 13, 1950. Recently of Gardendale, TX, he left this mortal plane on April 9, 2018.
He is survived by his four sons: Clifton Calvert, Christopher Calvert, Micah Calvert, and Devin Calvert; as well as two brothers: James Calvert and Orville Calvert III; cousins: Rhonda Ann Ybaben and Corky Stanley; aunt Barbara Ann Stanley; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother and father: Evelyn (Trout) Calvert and Orville Calvert Jr. and his brother: Gene Wade Calvert.
In addition to his honorable service as a Ssgt. in the US Marine Corps, he applied his talents to his trade as a welder in many places throughout West Texas. He also served as a deputy sheriff for Ector County.
