Gloria Alicia Lopez, age 58, of Odessa, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. She was born in Mathis, TX on March 30, 1957 to the late Jose Y. and Lilly (Garcia) Rodriguez. Gloria married Santos Hinojos Lopez in Midland on September 28, 1973. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband: Santos Lopez; four sons: Lazaro Lopez and wife Juana, Santos Lopez, Jr. and wife Claudia, Noel Lopez and wife April, and Eric Lopez and wife Abigail; five daughters: Rachel Lopez, Nola Del Campo and husband Rodolfo, Sarah Valenzuela and husband Jose, Kayla Lopez and husband Eli Lujan, and Erika Lopez; five brothers: Jimmy Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Jesse Rodriguez, Abel Rodriguez, and Armando Rodriguez; one sister: Josie Hernandez; thirty-one grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, all of Odessa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son: Roy Lopez.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, October 12, 2015 at New Hope Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Terry Lloyd Babcock, also known as “Papa Snuff”, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Union City, TN on August 21, 1953 to L P and Barbara Nell (Thomas) Babcock. Terry married Shirley Rhea Simpkins in Odessa on August 6, 1993. He worked as a welder.
Terry loved life. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking with his family, traveling, and gambling. Terry liked to cook and bar-b-que and family get-togethers were a favorite pastime. He loved to watch Western movies, liked watching the Texas Rangers play, loved the Dallas Cowboys, and hated the color green. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Terry’s father had been known to say that had he known grandkids would be so much fun – he would have had them a lot sooner. So that’s what Terry did!
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Shirley Babcock of Odessa; daughters: Amy Pattillo and Toni Price and husband Shannon, all of Odessa; brothers: David Babcock and wife Debbi and Billy Babcock and wife Nelta, all of Lubbock; four grandchildren: Tyler Pattillo, Taylor Pattillo, Tyan Rankin and Austin Price; nieces and nephews: Jeanne Babcock, Brandi Montoya, Katie Mitchell, Aaron Babcock, Shawn and Travis Vaught; his mother-in-law: Thelma Simpkins; and sister-in-law: Sandi Vaught and husband Gary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother: Bobby Babcock; and nephew: Bryan Babcock.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, October 12, 2015 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Bartlett. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Randy Spicer, age 81, of Odessa, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Randy was born in Desdemona, TX on October 3, 1934 to the late Thad J. and Ovia Estelle (Robinson) Spicer. He worked for Chevron as an instrument tech and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his sons: Keith Spicer of Ft. Worth, TX and Kerry Spicer of Carrollton, GA; daughter: Kristi Martinqewiz of Hobbs, NM; ten brothers and sisters: Doris Graham, Charles Spicer, Rose Huffman, Frankie Horton, Gay Nell Hopkins, Mickey Spicer, Sherry Henry, Sherriel Moore, Paula Gryder, and Mike Spicer; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His parents and his brother, Buddy Spicer, preceded him in death.

Michael Torres, age 42, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Saturday, October 10, 2015. He was born in Muleshoe, TX on June 14, 1973 to Ralph Torres, Sr. and Maria Guadalupe Porras. He graduated in 1992 from Snyder High School.
Michael is survived by his father: Ralph Torres, Sr. of Abilene; mother: Maria Guadalupe Porras of Odessa; two brothers: Ralph Torres, Jr. and Tommy Torres, both of Odessa; sister: Angie Herrera of San Angelo; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be said at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel on Monday evening at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
Rupert (Rudy) Ellis Stephens II, age 50, of Odessa passed from this life unexpectedly at Medical Center Hospital on Saturday, October 10, 2015. He was born in Odessa, TX on February 27, 1965 to the late Rupert Ellis Stephens and Juanita Lucille Young.
Rudy loved working with his hands and was an oil field x-ray radiographer. He loved his family very much but his sister said he was a “Jackass”. Rudy also enjoyed the outdoors. He liked to go fishing and BBQ with his family and friends. Rudy enjoyed helping others. He loved his dogs very much. Rudy also enjoyed dancing and country music, but most of all he loved Jesus.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his son: Daniel Stephens; mother: Juanita Pyburn; brother: John David Shephens and wife Brenda; and sisters: Toney Linder and husband Dennis and Tammie Stephens, all of Odessa; as well as an uncle, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Rupert Ellis Stephens and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Jimmy Edward Porras, age 33, of Odessa was taken unexpectedly to
meet the Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Jimmy was
born in Odessa on Saturday, November 7, 1981 to Lupe M. Nichols and
Oscar Porras. He married Vanessa Ramos in Oceanside, CA on February
Jimmy served a tour of duty in the US Marines during the Iraq War. Since that time, he had studied criminal justice and worked in the oilfield as a derrick hand. His passion was playing soccer and he had played on the Marine soccer team. His children meant the world to him. Jimmy was a fun and loving person whose presence will be sorely missed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Vanessa Porras of Houston; mother: Lupe Nichols of Odessa; father: Oscar Porras of Ojinaga, MX; three sons: Randy and Edwin Porras, both of Houston and Lorenzo Porras of Odessa; two daughters: Aracely L. and Yanali Porras, both of Houston; grandmothers: Dionicia Porras of Odessa and Gloria Chavez Botello of Tamaulipas, MX; brothers: Carlos Sifuentes of Odessa, and Christopher Porras and Oscar Porras, Jr. both of Oregon; sister: Regina Mancha and husband Jose of Odessa; nieces and nephews: Adrian, Diamond, Jayden, Andres, Lexi, and Brooklyn; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his brother: Daniel Porras and grandparents: Carlos and Jesusita Nichols.

Hector Molina, age 36, of Odessa, passed from this life at Medical
Center Hospital on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. He was born in El
Paso on December 24, 1978 to Magdalena Alvarez.
Hector loved his family very much, they were always first. Above all, his wife and kids were his life. Hector enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of The Street Kings. He also loved helping people and was always giving out advice. Hector loved going on outdoor trips with his family as well.

Lanny “Eleno” Fierro Barela, age 64, of Odessa, passed from this
life at Odessa Regional Medical Center on Thursday October 15,
2015. He was born in Roswell, NM on March 22, 1951 to the late Jose
Barela and Rosa Fierro.
Leno was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather. His passions were his animals which he had many of and adored dearly. Leno enjoyed the outdoors, working on cars, bikes and anything he could get his hands on. He served in the Air Force where he painted planes during the Vietnam era. Leno was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and retired from Key Energy.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his daughter: Elvia Barela of Odessa; 2 brothers: Jose Juan Barela of Lubbock and Ramon Barela of Edinburg; 7 sisters: Erlinda Barela and Amada Natividad both of Odessa, Mary Cortez and Joyce Vega both of Houston, Christina Martinez of California, Louisa Sanchez and Angela Jimenez both of Odessa; and 1 Sister-in-law: Christine Martinez Zavala of Odessa. 3 grandchildren: Valerie Lemon Franco and Robert Suarez Jr. of Odessa; and Katrina Rose Lemon of Abilene and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Belia Martinez Barela and his parents Jose Barela and Rosa Fierro Barela, his brother Albert Barela and sister Eloria Dominguez, and his dog “Filo” Barela.

Roberto Lozano Ruvalcaba, age 72, of Odessa, passed away at Deerings Nursing and Rehabilitation in Odessa on Thursday, October 15, 2015. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico on July 11, 1944 to the late Dolores and Ester (Lozano) Ruvalcaba. He married Maria Luisa Neri in Guadalajara, MX on April 13, 1965 and they had celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Maria Luisa Ruvalcaba; and two sons: Roberto Ruvalcaba Jr. and Jose Alexandro Ruvalcaba; all of Odessa; daughters: Olga Flores and husband Mario of California, Norma and husband Victor Dominuez, Guadalupe Yadira and husband Jaime Valenzuela and Elizabeth and Vladimir Lopez, all of Odessa; brothers: Lauro Ruvalcaba and Jesus Ruvalcaba, both of Mexico; sisters: Ester Ruvalcaba, Leonor Ruvalcaba, Maria Ruvalcaba, Jesusita Ruvalcaba and Guadalupe Ruvalcaba, both of California, Ines Ruvalcaba and Eduvijes Ruvalcaba, both of Mexico, and Carmen Ruvalcaba of California; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughter: Sonia Ruvalcaba.

Ricky Lee Cravener, age 50, of Odessa, passed from this life at his residence on Sunday, October 18, 2015. He was born in Roswell, NM on March 1, 1965 to the late Jimmie Cravener and Barbara Tabor.
Rick was a very hard working man and would help anybody. He had a very green thumb and could grow anything. Rick was good at wood working and construction. He remodeled his mother’s house. Rick was also his mother’s caretaker until she passed from this life. He took care of all of her friends and his aunt as well.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his brother: Arthur and Chantal Williamson of Odessa; sisters: Stacy Dow and fiancé Boone Byrd and Pennie Cravener, both of Odessa and his best friend and soulmate Randall Robinson of Austin, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jimmie Cravener and Barbara Cravener.
