Ronald Wayne Henderson
Ronald Wayne Henderson, age 70, of Odessa, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on April 28, 1942 to the late Wayne and Stella (Norwood) Henderson. He was a US Navy Veteran and worked in the oilfield as a sandblaster and painter.
Ronald enjoyed talking on the CB radio at home or in the car. His handle was “Tail Gunner” and his wife Cathy was “Rose Petal”. He loved country music and once rewired his home so that the living room had extra speakers. Turning it up would overload and blow the speakers. He also enjoyed downloading music and having “Sue” record the songs to cd’s. His favorite sports were fishing and watching football, especially the Cowboys.
He is survived by his wife of over 40 years: Cathy (Hanes) Henderson of Odessa; two daughters: Debra Jordan and husband Michael of Port Neches, TX and Tammy Blair and husband Wayne of Odessa; two sons: Darrell Henderson and Rodney Henderson and wife Holly, all of Odessa; sisters: Diane Norwood and Judy Briley and husband Dee, all of Odessa; brother: Steve Henderson and wife Tammy Cox of Groves, TX; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Friday evening, October 26, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 10:00 am Saturday, October 27, 2012. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd, Odessa, Texas.

Douglas Wayne Schwarz, age 53, of Odessa, passed away on Tuesday,
October 23, 2012, at Deerings Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in
Odessa. He was born in
Andrews, TX on March 7, 1959.
Doug was a Veteran of the US Marines.
He enlisted at the age of 17 (his mom signed her
attended college earning his associates degree as an architect.
Doug traveled the world.
He was a good hearted person and helped out other all of the
time. He was a man’s
man, but the women loved him.
He was a biker and loved riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his daughter:

Dedra Plummer and husband Danny of Crane and Sherry Daggett
of Las Vegas, NV; brother:
Larry Schwarz and wife Colleen of Chelsea, OK; Aunt Sis of
Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.

Barbara Schwarz; and son: Billy Joe "B. J." Schwarz, preceded him in death.

Neva Melba Copelin, age 78, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Hospice House of Odessa. She was born in Snyder, TX on June 24, 1934 to the late Ernest and Daisy Odessa (Johnson) Rinehart. She was a clerk in a clothing store and was a member of Faith Community Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters: Kathy Harris of Odessa and Sue Ann Harris Lamar of Johnson City; two sons: Wayne Bryant of Pearland and Ernest Harris of Marble Falls; brother: Robert Rinehart of Lubbock; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Harry James Bryant; and three sisters: Pat, Delma, and Kathleen.
Funeral services will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2012, Bro. Wayne Shelton officiating. Eugene Jay Hellmann, age 52, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2012 at MCH in Odessa.
Eugene was born October 3rd, 1960 in Deerlodge, Montana to Father Eugene Joseph Hellmann and Mother Melba Elizabeth Hellmann who preceded him in death.
He was survived by his loving wife of 30 years: Keri Hellmann; his
daughters: Samantha and
husband Richard Gomez and Kimberly Hellmann; daughter-in-law: Amy
Barragan; and son:
Jayson Eugene Hellmann.
He had two grandchildren who were his world: Rory and Elijah
Gomez. He is also
survived by four brothers:
Joel, Mel, Randy, and Hal; and two sisters: Diane and
Patti-Jo; along with many nieces and nephews.

Wesley Clarence Roberts, age 60, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Memphis, TN on July 21, 1952 to the late William Clarence Roberts and Lida Lee (Garland) Roberts. He worked for over 20 years in the shipyards in California, retiring as a supervisor. His most recent endeavor was working for Cincinnati Systems installing electronic systems.
He is survived by three brothers: Warren Roberts of San Diego, Calif., Edmond Roberts of Memphis, Tenn. and John Roberts of Phoenix, Ariz.; nephews: Gary Roberts of Odessa and Robert Davis and Anthony Davis, both of Memphis, Tenn.; and nieces: Stacey Davis, Amber Davis and Brooke Quinley, all of Memphis, Tenn.
In addition to his parents, his brother: Gary Jack Roberts; and sister: Vivian Daughtery, precede him in death.

Patrick Leon Brindle, age 37, of Bay City, Texas, passed away on
Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Odessa.
He was born in Odessa on November 22, 1974.
He married Jana Milam in Odessa on October 18, 2003.

|Karen Sue Cherry|
Karen Sue Cherry, age 64, of Odessa, passed from this life on
Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on November 6, 1947 to Roger
and Carlyn (Parker) Mason. Karen married Samuel “Sam” Cherry
in Irving, TX on June 11, 1966. She taught three and four
year old children at Kiddie Kollege for 33 years and worked as a
receptionist for the Music City Mall.
Karen and Sam had recently celebrated 45 years of life together
building a home and a family. He lovingly referred to her as
“The Old Redhead”. She was a loving and devoted wife and
mother. “Nana” was also the proud grandmother to two
grandchildren. Karen loved to read and especially enjoyed
Stephen King novels. She liked giraffes and really got a kick
out of being close to them at the Abilene Zoo.

Bryan Dee Moore, Sr., age 80, of Kermit, passed from this life on
Monday, October 29, 2012, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
He was born in Peniel, TX on May 26, 1932 to the late
William S. Moore and Nellie (Phillips) Moore.
He worked in construction and as a pipe fitter in the
oilfield. He was
Bryan D. was a veteran of both the US Army and Air Force.
He was a Past Commander for the American Legion Post 339 and
remained active with the Kermit American Legion.
A Texas gentleman, he was always well dressed.
He was a Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys fan, as well as
a huge supporter of the local high school football teams in Wink,
Kermit, and Odessa (Permian).
He is survived by his sons:
Bryan D. Moore, Jr. and wife Dinah of Odessa and Sean Moore of Ecuador;
Tammy Messimer, Letitia Gillit, and Joni Alexander, all of Jal, NM;
and two grandchildren:
Austin Gray and Keri Moore.
Bryan D. was preceded in death by his parents; wife:
Norma Fae Moore; sister:
Billie Curtis; and step-son:
Jackie Dale Alexander.

|Gertrude (Gray) Irwin|
Gertrude (Gray) Irwin, age 69, of McCamey, passed away on Monday,
October 29, 2012, at Sienna Care Center in Odessa.
She was born in Visalia, CA on June 5, 1943 to the late
Harvey Calvin Gray and Myrtle May (Eaton) Gray.
She married Lowery Irwin in Rankin, TX on July 7, 1976 and
was a homemaker. A
faithful Christian lady, she was a member of the Church of Christ.
Gertrude was a private, simple person who enjoyed the simple things
in life. She liked to
read, crochet, and work in her garden.
She is survived by her husband: Lowery Irwin, Sr. of McCamey; one daughter: Trudy Barrera of McCamey; five sons: Lowery Irwin, Jr. of Odessa, Steven Rodgers of Silverton, Chuck Rodgers of Corsicana, Greg Rodgers of Tyler, Terry Rodgers of Corsicana; sister: Virginia Tipton of Fletcher, Okla.; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

|Bobby Gene Collins|
Bobby Gene Collins, age 63, of Odessa, TX passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Hospice House of Odessa. He was born August 26, 1949 to Bob Collins and Johnny White. He attended Permian High School. He served proudly in the US Marines where he was deployed to Vietnam. While in Vietnam, he served as an MP and bodyguard to a general. He was wounded and medically discharged, coming home in 1969. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts.
He is preceded in death by his father: Bob Collins and mother and stepdad: Johnny White and Calvin White. Also awaiting him on the other side are his wife: Karen Collins and their twins, as well as his beloved grandmother: Euna Davidson, and his little sister: Nichole.
Those left to carry on his memory are his sisters: Suzan Williams and husband Bobby, Devorah and Pat; brothers: Jade, Shawn, and Blake; his children: Betty Nix, Christopher Hollis, Zachariah Hollis and wife Maggie, Micha Womack and wife Cherlene, James Collins, Bobbie Collins, Nila Wood, J.D. Grimley and wife Tara, Matthew Collins, and Melissa Miller. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren: Russell, Beverly, Elexis, Jonah, Jaycee, Isaiah, Joshuah, Gage, Jade, Ta’lyr, Hana, Dylan, Zachary, Haylea, Kaileb, Jude, Haleigh, Alleigh, Asa, Cryslan, Calissa, and Justice; special friend: Trina Roper; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He left a tremendous legacy and will be deeply missed.

Donnie Wilkerson, 66, of Odessa passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Delhi, Louisiana on October 23, 1946 to Marvin and Mary Tarver Wilkerson. Donnie started working in the oilfield as a younger man in 1963-1964 as a roughneck and served in the U. S. Army from May 5, 1966 to March 14, 1968 when he was honorably discharged. He married Debbie Mathis, the mother of his children, on February 15, 1974. After his service in the Army he continued to work in the oilfield in well service for Foote Well Service and Basin Well Service for 16 years. In the early 80’s he was running a rig and tool pusher running fishing tools for Hydra Tech. In 1984 he started working for Rock Tool where he worked for 15 years as a production fisherman open hole.
Donnie was a kind hearted man. He loved to go to the lake and fish. He greatly enjoyed his garden and was great at canning food. He loved playing cards and watching football. Dancing and singing karaoke was a great past time of his. He was very sociable, would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need, and truly enjoyed the company of his family and friends for Barbeques. Donnie, you will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his Daughters: Candy & Jason Hickerson of Odessa and Donni Jo Wilkerson of Lubbock, Texas; Brothers: Wesley Wilkerson and wife Betty and Ebb Smith, Jr. all of Odessa; Sisters: Betty Kirby and husband Don of Odessa, Vicky Baker and husband Homer of Cisco, Texas, D’Ann Bone and husband James of Weatherford, Texas, Eloise Hays and husband Ronnie of Silver Springs, Nevada and Linda Julian and husband Ray of Weatherford, Texas; Five Grandchildren: Kailee, Taylor, Logan, Jackson, and Sydney all of Odessa.
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents: Marvin and Mary Wilkerson.

Ignacio Padilla Rodriguez, 72, of Odessa, passed away on November 2, 2012. He was born September 10, 1940 in Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico to Paulo and Guadalupe Padilla Rodriguez. He was Catholic and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Survivors are his daughters: Sylvia R. Hinojos and husband Jose Luis of Odessa, Martha R. Rubio and husband Alvaro of Odessa and Lorena Rodriguez of Chihuahua, Mexico; brothers: Nicolas Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas, Paulo Rodriguez and Ramon Rodriguez of Adama, Mexico, and Saturnino Rodriguez of Chihuahua, Mexico; sisters: Elena Rodriguez and Elsa D. Rodriguez of Aldama, Mexico and Guadalupe Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Monday, November 5, 2012 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church officiated by Father Michael Rodriguez. Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden of Ector County Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
|Mary Ann Beaty|
Mary Ann Beaty, age 75, of Odessa, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, November 03, 2012 at Sienna Care Center. She was born in Eastland County, TX on April 19, 1937 to the late Lewis Marion Harvey and Ada Lee (Chapman) Harvey. She was a carpenter’s helper by trade. On her birthday in 1952, she married Harold Wayne Beaty, Sr. and they were together for 38 years before separated by his death in May of 1990.
Mary was a loving, and caring mother and grandmother and an excellent homemaker. A very crafty person, she enjoyed sewing, crafts, and dabbled in painting. She was a member of Sunset Homemaker’s Club, where she participated in the programs making quilts and blankets for the homeless and having an egg hunt for children at Easter. She also worked in the culinary department for the Ector County Fair for 20 years. Mary was a member of West Odessa First Baptist Church. She was a Christian woman who had been looking forward her entire life to this day - when she would be in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded to her Heavenly home by her son: Harold Wayne Beaty, Jr., who passed away in October of 1995; three sisters, and one brother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Lewis “Nelson” Beaty and wife Fonda of Gardendale, and Randall “Randy” Beaty and wife Sandra of Odessa; daughter: Patricia “LeAnn” Poor and husband Jerry of Odessa; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Braswell. Honorary pallbearers will be David Rose, Danny Culberson and Mike Carney. Interment will be privately held in the Rose Hill Garden of Ector County Cemetery.
