James Edward "Jim" Howell

James Edward "Jim" Howell passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Medical Center Hospital.  He was born August 21, 1957 in Fort Worth, TX.

James was a devoted dad, a hard working man, and an unfaltering friend to so many.  He wore many different “hats” during his 50 short years.  Some of which were truck driver, Dad, chicken-cooking “King”, Drinkin’ Buddy, and of course his favorite hat – the one with the Big Blue star.

James was one of those rare people you meet and he changes your life forever.  He unknowingly made everyone around him comfortable, carefree, and safe.  He was an award winning cook for the Black Gold Chili Pod and Home Grown Cookin’.  The secret of his sauce will forever stay a highly guarded secret.  His always genuine attitude, unending loyalty, and mule-headed stubbornness made him into the legend he was among men.  The Farm was his stomping ground and the place he dearly loved to call home.  James will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mom: Mary, sister:  Carol, brother:  Randy, son: Ivan, daughters:  Sanya, Tanya, and Betsy, seven grandchildren, and his “Forever Farm Family.”
